Lynette Oliveria
Loves Horses, Houses and Helping Others
Lynette Oliveira, affectionately known as Lynnie, has fond memories of riding horses as a child.
Growing up in Aptos, California, she loved to be atop one of these magnificent creatures. Her
love for animals ran deep.
Horses
“Because I loved horses, I wanted to go to Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo and become a
veterinarian.” Although she did major in Animal Science, she left after 3 years to get married to
the love of her life, Steve, who majored in Crop Science at Cal Poly.
They began their new life together in King City. Steve grew grapes for wine. Lynnie, who had
earned her real estate license in 1978 while in college, set out to do real estate. Houses were
another passion of hers.
“I loved looking at houses and I always thought they were intriguing,” she explains. She
frequented open houses, eager to see the listings. When they moved to King City, Lynnie hung
her license at Buttgereit Pettitt & Davis Agency, where she still works today.
“John Buttgereit is the Broker and he has always been my mentor,” she shares. “He’s just a
great man to work for. He’s always there for me.”
Houses
“It’s interesting that almost every transaction I learn something new,” she reflects, “no matter
how old I get.” In addition to her love for learning, Lynnie likes interacting with others with her
pleasant personality.
“I like the challenge of working with all sorts of people,” she admits. “As a real estate agent, you
do have to stay calm. For a lot of buyers and sellers, it can be pretty emotional.” Her heart for
humanity dates back to her childhood days. Her dad, an optometrist, impressed one key lesson
upon her, “Treat people the way you want to be treated.”
Helping Others
Lynnie's unwavering dedication to her clients sets her apart. With a high work ethic and a
genuine care for her clients, Lynnie goes above and beyond. Her willingness to pick up the
phone at all hours of the day is remarkable. Lynnie's client relationships often evolve into
lasting friendships. She even hand-selects closing gifts for each of her clients with
thoughtfulness.
Lynnie is also committed to her community, previously serving as the president and on the board of the King City Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Lynnie was a 4-H leader and is proud to be a member of the Mee Memorial Hospital Service League.
Popular Pastimes
When she isn’t working, you can find Lynnie at her sprawling 120-acre ranch. “I do a lot of work
maintaining the ranch around my house and keeping my flowers alive,” she jokes.
“We have two miniature donkeys and my friend Rich Casey runs cattle on our ranch too. We
have 11 chickens, but I can’t keep up with the eggs.”
Steve tends to the ranch along with their son Cooper, a successful tractor salesman, who lives
in a separate house on the property. Their daughter, Stephanie, has two children, Joie and Jade.
“These two beautiful grandchildren light up my life,” she gushes. “I make time to visit them
once a month; they grow up in a split second.”
To relax, Lynnie loves to cook and bake cookies. “My favorite is cowboy chocolate chip because
there is everything in them. Whatever is in your kitchen goes in the cookies,” she explains. Each
batch pleases people’s palates with morsels of semi-sweetness.
Passion + Purpose
Lynnie exemplifies the qualities of a dedicated leader. Her commitment to serving her clients
with professionalism, integrity, and personal care has earned her admiration. She couldn’t
imagine a better career, than helping others find their dream home!
