Lynn Snyder

As a passionate and growth-minded individual, Lynn Snyder has used that passion for growth to recently open RE/MAX Platinum on Daniel Island. Having spent the last 10 years building her real estate business into the success that it is today, Lynn has built that career on her passion for not only commercial real estate, but also investment properties. As a veteran of the Air Force, hard work is not a foreign concept to Lynn, as she puts her heart and soul into everything she does.

Using the law of attraction to build her database, Lynn believes the main reason for her success is “being a good person and putting good into the world. It comes back to you. My energy and vibration have attracted success.” Having sold over $6 million in real estate last year alone is all the proof needed to know she has attracted success and picked the right path to grow her career.

It seems written in the cards that Lynn would be a tough competitor in the Charleston market, as unlike most who live here, she is a native to the area. Not only does she know the community well, she grew up with the best influence to create a successful life: her grandfather.

“My grandfather grew up in SC and moved to Charleston for college. He worked at GE and had an extreme need for entrepreneurial hunger. Buying and flipping real estate in the 1950s, he has grown his business and himself so much, people say I am just like him, as he raised me growing up. When my mom left when I was 1, he took over, and I grew up going to rental properties with him, sitting on a paint bucket eating my lunch, and I always knew I would come back to that. He is 82 and works seven days a week managing his own properties, and I see myself doing the same thing. He knows so much about Charleston real estate, and he will tell me to buy a property, and even if I think it's a dump, he always knows best! My grandfather is so knowledgeable and has so much wisdom. He comes over every day after work to see my boys and spends some time walking around the park to find loose change. I’ve started leaving some on the ground for him to find, just to make him happy.”

Having an influence like her grandfather to show her the ropes of the Charleston market has been invaluable to her success. It’s almost as if he can see into the future, so when it comes to investments, his advice should definitely be heeded. Joining her grandfather in investing has made their relationship so close, that it’s something even her kids want to take part in.

“Being a great mom and raising my sons to know who they are and love with all their hearts while growing their path to success” is Lynn’s goal and something she is crushing it at. As a single mother of three boys, turning them into men has been her biggest challenge, but it’s one that she is really doing an amazing job at. Her eldest, Blake,17, has real estate dreams himself! Hoping to one day join his mother’s team and learn the business from her, as she did from her grandfather. Along with her two other boys, Liam, 12, and Ethan,10, Lynn may have her hands full, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. “They are my whole world, and we do everything together. Travel, games, and healthy growth,” she says.

Her pride in life comes from raising her children to be exactly who they are and achieve everything they dream of. It’s fostering an environment where each child’s personality can shine, and her pride for them pours out of her.

Not only does she teach her kids strength and courage to be who they are, she is also teaching them by example. Using her free time to volunteer for such charities as The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and YoungLife, a Christian-based nonprofit that helps troubled teens by showing them what else is out there, Lynn is also the Treasurer of the Hanahan Athletic Booster Club, raising over $50,000 at one event to supplement money lost from COVID.

Starting what will hopefully one day be a family business, Lynn’s love and support for her family extends to her clients and fellow agents as well. Her advice to fellow agents is based on growth, as she is always growing and learning every single day, saying, “Set a strong foundation and always continue to grow yourself as a person.” Not only that, but she advises something we all could benefit from. “Listen. You will learn more than when talking.” If that isn’t sage advice to grow as a person, and agent, I don’t know what is.
