DALE DADDS SHORE PROPERTY INSPECTIONS
BUILT ON EXPERIENCE
Dale Dadds has spent most of his life around construction sites, job plans, and the steady rhythm of homes being built from the ground up. Raised on the Eastern Shore in Centreville, Maryland, he didn’t just observe the building process—he became part of it early, learning the details of how structures come together and what it takes to do the work well.
That foundation would shape everything that followed.
Today, as the owner and inspector of Shore Property Inspections, Dale brings that same hands-on understanding to a different stage of the housing lifecycle—helping people evaluate the homes they are preparing to buy, sell, or invest in.
Shore Property Inspections provides residential home inspections, buyers inspections, sellers pre-listing inspections, new construction phase inspections, builders warranty inspections, mobile and manufactured home inspections, investment property inspections, mold testing, radon testing, well water samples, and enhanced well inspections.
For Dale, the scope of services is important, but the mission behind them is even more central.
“I believe my 30-plus years of experience in construction sets me apart,” he says. “Over a 30-year career, I have built and or supervised the building of custom homes, production-built homes, apartment buildings, and light commercial buildings.”
That background, he explains, is what gives him a different perspective when walking through a property. It is not just about identifying issues—it is about understanding how and why they exist in the first place.
He has spent 11 years in the inspection profession, transitioning into the field after a long career in construction. The decision, he says, was a natural next step.
“I believed home inspection was the next step in my construction career,” Dale shares.
Now, instead of building structures from the ground up, he focuses on translating them for clients—breaking down complex findings into clear, understandable insight that can guide major financial decisions.
A core part of his work is helping buyers and sellers feel informed rather than overwhelmed.
“Helping buyers and sellers understand the homes they are buying or selling so they can make informed decisions,” he says, describing what he is most passionate about in the business.
That clarity, he adds, is where his role carries the most weight. As an owner-inspector, he believes accountability matters just as much as technical skill.
“I am an owner/inspector who believes in quality inspections and being able to present findings to clients so they can make informed decisions,” he says.
In an industry where reports can often feel dense or intimidating, Dale leans on his construction background to bridge the gap between technical detail and real-world understanding.
“I have the experience and the construction knowledge to better explain potential issues with homes without alarming their clients,” he explains.
That ability to communicate clearly, without escalating unnecessary concern, has become one of the defining parts of his reputation. According to Dale, it is also one of the reasons agents and clients continue to rely on him.
When it comes to success in his field, he does not hesitate to point back to the foundation he built over decades in construction.
“My construction experience and my ability to explain issues to clients,” he says.
Dale is also a member of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors and is licensed in both Maryland and Delaware, reflecting a professional reach that extends beyond his home region.
Outside of work, his focus shifts firmly to family. He has been married for 30 years and is a father to two daughters. Today, he is also a grandfather to three granddaughters, and a grandson.
When he is not working, he spends his time with family, camping, and hunting—activities that keep him connected to the outdoors and to the people closest to him.
He also values the role of platforms that connect professionals in the industry.
When asked what he likes most about the Real Producers platform, he points to its reach, saying, “The exposure it brings to affiliates and new Realtors.”
For Dale, the work remains straightforward at its core: experience, communication, and clarity. After decades in construction and more than a decade in inspections, he continues to operate from the same principle that has guided much of his career—helping people understand what they are stepping into, one home at a time.
