Growing up in Maryland, Donna Reichert learned early on that life’s most meaningful moments happen when people come together. Raised in Linthicum, Severna Park, and Pasadena, Donna was part of a close-knit family that valued celebrating milestones, sharing laughter, and making time for one another.

“We slowed life down and we were always together,” Donna recalls. “It seemed like there were 100 of us even though our normal turnout was around 20.”

As the youngest of three children, Donna grew up surrounded by strong family connections. Today, those same values continue to shape both her personal life and her career. She and her husband, Steve, recently celebrated 32 years of marriage. Their son, Alex, is married to his college sweetheart, Haylee, and together they have a son of their own.

“They have given us the most kind and handsome grandson, Asher, who will be turning 4 this October,” Donna shares. “Life is busy and blessings are many.”

Long before she entered real estate, Donna built a career in customer service. She attended UMBC and accepted a position with America West Airlines at just 19 years old before later working for Northwest Airlines. During her airline career, she found fulfillment participating in Habitat for Humanity projects and community rehabilitation efforts.

“I loved working with Habitat for Humanity and rehabbing homes through the airline’s programs,” she says. “It embedded in all of us to give back to our communities.”

That commitment to helping others eventually opened the door to a new career path.

Donna’s introduction to real estate came through a chance encounter with Don Motsinger in 2004 while she was working for Northwest Airlines. At the time, Motsinger was with Long & Foster and encouraged her to explore the industry.

“He talked me into checking out real estate, and off to the races I went,” Donna says with a laugh.

What began as a curiosity quickly became something much bigger. Before long, her real estate business was thriving, forcing her to make a difficult decision.

“I was having to give up my airline career because real estate had taken off, no pun intended,” she says. “That is when I realized this was my true calling.”

Donna immersed herself in both residential real estate and commercial transactions, finding joy in helping clients achieve their goals. Over the years, she discovered that success in real estate often requires much more than market knowledge.

“Sometimes in real estate we have to paint a shed when it’s 32 degrees and snowing, paint a condo, take things from your own home to decorate a listing, and yes, even hook a shed up to a truck and tow it back onto the seller’s property because it was encroaching and settlement was happening later that same day,” she says.

For Donna, those moments represent what the business is truly about: showing up for people when they need it most.

“I have always felt a level of friendship with my clients,” she explains. “I become emotionally invested in them as if they were family from day one.”

Today, Donna is affiliated with Keller Williams Flagship of Maryland, where she credits Barry and Wendy Hess for helping her expand her ability to serve clients both locally and through nationwide partnerships.

Her accomplishments include being a top producer every year with Long and Foster since 2005, as well as earning recognition as a top donor for KW Cares. Yet awards are not what motivate her.

“Real estate and helping others is my life,” she says. “My goals are to help more than the year before.”

Donna remains an individual agent, having spent years building a reputation centered on trust and personal relationships. She believes what makes her different is simple: “Being personally invested in every client.”

That philosophy extends beyond real estate. Through KW Cares, Red Day outreach events, and community fundraising efforts, she continues to look for opportunities to give back.

“Throughout my career, my philosophy has never changed,” Donna says. “If we can all offer just a tiny bit of compassion to one another, a helping hand, high five, open a door for someone, we can achieve so much more in this life together than alone.”

As she looks toward the future, Donna remains focused on the same mission that has guided her from the beginning: helping people, building relationships, sharing and learning something from every friendship along the way.

“There is truth to our mission statement,” she says. “Experiences build careers worth having, businesses worth owning, lives worth living, experiences worth giving, and legacies worth leaving. Let’s get out there—we have an entire world waiting.”

Donna enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, son Alex, daughter-in-law Haylee, and grandson Asher. She also enjoys cruising, traveling with family, and spending time with her two Australian Shepherds, Reese and Calli.
