Allie Kirby and the Monarch Group

Collaboration Without Ego

When Allie Kirby launched The Monarch Group in June 2020, she knew she was building more than a business. She envisioned a place where accountability and collaboration would define the culture, where women could pursue their goals with the support of a team that believed in lifting one another up. “True example of collaboration without ego,” she says. Five years later, that vision is fully alive. The group closed more than $106 million in 2024, earned recognition as Compass’s #1 Medium-Sized Team, and has been featured in Denver Real Producers for five years running.

Allie’s story, however, begins much earlier. “I’m a Kansas girl through and through,” she says. She grew up in Prairie Village, the oldest of four, with parents who modeled persistence, kindness, and hard work. “I was a teacher’s pet, a straight-A student, and determined to excel at everything,” she remembers. “My parents expected a lot from me, and while that sometimes pushed me into perfection paralysis, I’ll always credit them for instilling the extraordinary standards I still hold myself to today.”

While she split her time between volleyball and dance, she ultimately had to choose one. Dance became the throughline of her life. “I couldn’t quit dancing a jig!” she says with a laugh. That choice carried her onto competition floors across the world and into the spotlight as a professional dancer for the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. Along the way, she worked as a nanny, florist, and instructor in Denver dance studios, always juggling opportunities while searching for a long-term career. Then came a pivotal moment.

“While living my best life as a Nuggets dancer, one of my teammate’s moms, Lisa Mutschler, mentioned the possibility of me becoming her assistant,” Allie recalls. “With conversations turning into reality, and with the support of my husband, Liam, and parents, I decided to get my real estate license and join Lisa at Keller Williams Avenues.”

From the start, real estate was about more than transactions. “I realized I could draw on my background in education to guide and support people through one of the biggest decisions of their lives,” she says. “From the very beginning, there was something about helping amazing people find their homes that truly connected with my heart.”

When she decided to form The Monarch Group, she leaned into that same philosophy and surrounded herself with people who balanced her ideas with execution—partners like Tabitha Tobias and Lacy Caudel, who helped her turn vision into reality. “While I’m often floating with a million ideas, they’re the ones who help execute them flawlessly,” she says. “We couldn’t be more different, but that’s what makes us such a good team. We truly respect one another’s
opinion while being able to put egos aside and make the best decision for the interest of all our team members.”

Allie speaks about her entire team with pride: “Tabitha and Lacy have both leveled up this year and hired incredible assistants. Neymar joined Monarch for the collaboration and quickly closed twenty-five deals in a month. Bailey has her best month ever, Sarah doubled her business while brining on a full time assistant as well, and Sally Ann and Maddi supported each other through maternity leave while still producing at the highest level. Brogan gravitates toward the coolest listings with over 12 million this year, Melissa celebrated her 100th Polar Plunge, Carly has become our Castle Rock queen while raising three little ones and expecting twins, and Eliza elevates our buyers’ experience while showcasing beautifully renovated homes with her husband. I am beyond proud of the work these women are doing and the lives they are creating.”

At home, Allie draws strength from her husband, Liam, who she calls “my foundation, my safety net, and the reason I’m able to do what I do.” Their three children—Royce, Selma, and Herschel—bring energy, creativity, and humor to the Kirby house. “We cherish our Friday pizza-and-movie nights, nightly dinners together, spontaneous dance parties, long road trips, and making slow-motion videos,” she says. “At the end of the day, we simply love each other so very much.”

For Allie, success is a continual work in progress as she raises the bar higher for herself each year. “The knowledge that there is no ceiling, that growth and possibility are limitless… fills me with more fulfillment than I could have ever imagined,” she says.

Every year Allie rereads The Go-Giver, reminding herself of the value of service. She continues to support causes like The Gathering Place and finds motivation in a line she repeats often. “If nothing ever changed, there would never be any butterflies.”

At the end of the day, Allie wants to be remembered for the enthusiasm she has for life. That spirit carries through everything—her family, her business, and the team she has built—proof that collaboration without ego can create something extraordinary.
