Maria Gallucci

Fostering Belonging

Maria Gallucci was 12 years old when she first sat down at a closing table. She was translating for her Deaf parents. An interpreter wasn’t provided, so she stepped into the gap. It wasn’t the first time, and it certainly wouldn’t be the last.

“Being raised in a Deaf household required me to bridge two worlds every day,” Maria explains. “I saw firsthand how powerful communication can be and how isolating it feels when it’s missing.”

Maria also looked up to her parents for their resilience and strength.

“They built a life in a world not always designed for them, and that shaped my understanding of perseverance and inclusion,” she says.

Those experiences became the foundation for everything Maria would do, ultimately leading her to open Gallucci Homes, a nationwide real estate service that communicates in ASL and prioritizes inclusion.

“I began my real estate career with a clear purpose: to serve people well,” states Maria. “From the beginning, I knew I didn’t want to just ‘sell homes.’ I wanted to build trust, create understanding, and help people feel confident during one of the biggest decisions of their lives.”

While Maria had the passion she needed for real estate, she learned early in her career how to balance heart with business.

“I care deeply—and that’s a strength,” she notes. “But I had to learn boundaries, systems, and scalability to grow sustainably. Growth required structure, not just passion.”

Thirty-four years into her career, Maria has built Gallucci Homes into one of the top-performing brands in Colorado. She ranks among the top 1% of Colorado REALTORS®, the top 1.5% of REALTORS® nationally, and has earned recognition from organizations including Real Trends, 5280 Magazine, and the Denver Metro REALTOR® Association.

But for Maria, success has never been about awards alone.

“Success is alignment,” she says. “It’s building a business that reflects your values. It’s earning trust. It’s having clients feel safe referring you. It’s impact beyond income.”

Today, Maria is known for bringing calm to what can often feel like a chaotic process. In an unpredictable market, she focuses on clarity, confidence, and honest communication. That approach has built more than transactions. It has built relationships.

“The relationships are always the most rewarding part of my business,” Maria says. “Watching clients become friends. Seeing families build equity and stability. Getting referrals because someone trusted me enough to recommend me to the people they love.”

For Maria, real estate creates impact and opportunity. It allows her to serve families directly, build generational wealth for her own family, and advocate for inclusion and communication on a larger scale.

One of those efforts recently included the publication of her bestselling autobiography, Raised in Silence, about identity, resilience, and belonging. Maria shared how the process of writing her book clarified a core value in her life.

“Belonging is at the center of everything I do, including real estate,” she says. “My story taught me empathy. My business allows me to live it.”

Outside of real estate, Maria dedicates her time to causes close to her heart, serving on the board of Rocky Mountain Deaf School, as well as supporting Deaf Overcoming Violence through Empowerment and Colorado Association of the Deaf.

Family remains central to everything Maria does. She values creating traditions, building stability, and making time for meaningful connection. When she’s not serving clients or advocating for inclusion, she enjoys writing, personal development, community involvement, and creating meaningful conversations that inspire growth.

Her advice to other agents is simple and direct.

“Build relationships before chasing volume,” she says. “Systems matter. Follow-up matters. Integrity matters more than trends. And never underestimate the power of listening.”

As Maria continues fostering belonging through every relationship she builds, every barrier she helps break, and every family she serves, there is no doubt she will continue leading with empathy, building trust, and proving that communication is one of the most powerful tools in business.
