Eryn Henderson

A Life Reimagined

They say that challenge brings change, and for Eryn Henderson, this couldn’t be truer. When the Covid-19 pandemic upended her long-standing career in the liquor industry, it led her to discover a new passion and purpose—helping people through real estate.

For nearly two decades, Eryn thrived in the liquor world, holding various roles and most recently working as a Colorado Brand Representative for a tequila brand. However, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit, her position was eliminated, forcing her to confront the need for a career change.

“Covid was the catalyst I needed to be decisive about my life,” Eryn reflects. “I had been in the industry for such a long time—it was easy, fun, and there didn’t seem to be a pressing need to change. But deep down, I knew I wasn’t truly fulfilled.”

This wasn’t the first time Eryn made a huge pivot and started again. Originally from Pittsburgh, Eryn moved to Denver over 20 years ago on a whim and never looked back. Despite the challenges of starting over in a career like real estate, especially at 40 years old, she embraced her new path with determination and excitement.

“I couldn’t have done this job any sooner than when I started,” she says. “The skillset and knowledge that I acquired through my life experiences up until that point were crucial in my success. I truly believe that timing is everything.”

Eryn entered real estate initially thinking of it as a backup plan. However, what started as a stopgap quickly became her calling. “I began studying for my exam and realized this was my ‘thing.’ It just clicked, made sense, and reinvigorated me,” she says. From the moment she embarked on this new path, Eryn never looked back. The fulfillment she found in real estate was something she hadn’t experienced in her previous career.

Now, as a Real Estate Agent, Eryn’s passion lies in the discovery of new tools, approaches, and relationships. While she loves the ever-changing landscape of real estate, Eryn also craves stability, both for herself and her clients. “Creating a stable foundation allows me to take more risks, and that’s exciting,” she notes.

Eryn thrives on the challenges that real estate brings. “Every day is challenging for different reasons,” she admits. But it’s these challenges that keep her engaged and constantly growing. She loves that no two days, transactions, or clients are the same. This variety pushes her to adapt, learn, and become better at what she does.

One of the key factors contributing to her success has been the support she receives from her brokerage, Guide Real Estate. “The education and collaborative environment at Guide have been invaluable,” she shares. The emphasis on education and the inclusive atmosphere have helped elevate her business to new heights.

Eryn’s advice to those starting in real estate is simple but powerful: “Keep going. This industry is both extremely challenging and extremely rewarding. Real estate is a long game, and nothing happens quickly. Educate yourself as much as possible, because being able to advise and support your clients is key to long-term success.”

Outside of her career, Eryn finds immense joy and fulfillment in her role as a mother to her 10-year-old daughter, Aubrey, as well as her 3 beloved dogs, Gibby, Tucker, and Indi. Living on the west side of town in Wheat Ridge, allows her and her family accessibility to the mountains they love. They enjoy skiing, exploring the outdoors, live music, and exploring the dynamic restaurant scene in and around Denver.

Eryn’s love for her family and her dedication to her career are what drive her to create a balanced and fulfilling life. She is passionate about making a difference in her clients’ lives and being a positive force in the Denver real estate community.

As Eryn continues to grow in her career, her story serves as a reminder that change, while often daunting, can lead to new passions and opportunities unimagined.
