The Onyx Collection

Different by Design

There’s a difference between a team that works together and one that’s built together. For the women of The Onyx Collection at Kentwood Real Estate, that difference comes down to structure. There’s no team lead, no hierarchy—just eight agents operating as a collective, each running her own business while working in alignment with the group.

That group—Carly, Katie, Belinda, Megan, Kendall, Nicole, Stephanie, and Kat—formed in early January 2025. Already based in Kentwood’s Cherry Creek office, they saw a chance to formalize how they were already working. They chose the name Onyx with intention—drawn to what it represents: strength, luxury, magnetism, and a bit of kismet. It reflects both the brand they’re building and the bond they share.

“Our strength as a team comes from how openly we share ideas, strategies, and even challenges. By supporting each other both professionally and personally, we don’t just grow our individual businesses, we elevate the experience for our clients and create a culture where everyone thrives,” Carly says.

That dynamic is shaped by the different paths that brought them here. Carly worked in property management for the Denver Housing Authority, while Katie spent 10 years managing a hormone replacement therapy practice in Cherry Creek. Megan was a professional dancer for the Denver Nuggets and worked in interior design, while Nicole worked in sports events, running tournaments across the country with brands like Nike, FIBA, and Disney.

Belinda has been in real estate since the start of her career, beginning with an internship at John Laing Homes before getting licensed in 2009. Kendall and Kat both come from restaurant and bartending backgrounds, with Kat working her way through college—sometimes juggling three jobs—while moving toward real estate, design, and architecture. Stephanie’s background spans sales and event planning, including work as a West Coast sales rep for a dessert company.

What connects them isn’t where they started—it’s what brought them in. Carly and Kendall were driven by experience and access—wanting to improve the buying process and make homeownership more attainable. Katie and Nicole were introduced to real estate through family, growing up around the industry. Belinda and Megan were drawn in through design, while Stephanie and Kat were pulled in by the people, the collaboration, and the pace of the business.

That shows up in how they work today. Carly, Megan, and Nicole focus on education and access—helping buyers and sellers make informed decisions and guiding first-time buyers through the process. Katie focuses on systems, building structure and efficiency behind the scenes. Kendall is focused on growth, increasing listings and scaling her business. Belinda leads with relationships, Kat brings a design-driven approach, and Stephanie is focused on growth and finding new opportunities.

Individually, their roles are clear. Together, they operate as a shared resource—clients aren’t relying on one agent, but the full team.

“Each one of us has such a unique approach to our businesses, personality, and lifestyle, but we all thrive when we come together,” Kendall explains.

“We support each other, challenge each other, celebrate each other. Every voice on the team is just as important as the next,” Katie adds.

“It’s about excellence without ego,” Nicole says.

In their first year as The Onyx Collection, the team closed $67,492,000 in volume and was recognized as a top-producing team each quarter of 2025. However, success, for them, is more about balance than production.

“Success is looking around to find that you are surrounded by unconditional support, a loving family, clients that sing your praise and the financial means to treat yourself and loved ones regularly. It’s thriving, not surviving” Katie says.

For the team, collaboration is essential for that kind of success. Six of the eight are raising kids—12 between them, plus furry ones—while running full-time businesses. It’s a mindset that shows up in how they give back as well. Kat, Nicole, Katie, Carly & Stephanie serve on the board of Kentwood Cares, a foundation that supports Kentwood agents and employees facing unexpected hardship while also contributing to organizations focused on housing, education, and disaster relief. As a team, they also support groups like Bags of Fun, Make-A-Wish, and Project I See You.

Outside of real estate, their interests vary. Carly spends her time hiking, camping, and traveling, while Katie enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and getting back into tennis and golf. Megan stays active with workouts, time in the mountains, and exploring new restaurants, while Kendall splits her time between skiing, volunteering with Make-A-Wish Colorado, and being with family.

Belinda leans into astrology and tarot, along with paddle boarding and hiking with her dog, Bear. Nicole keeps it simple with reading, wine, and time with friends and family, while Stephanie’s time revolves around her kids’ sports and traveling together, and Kat just enjoys learning new things.

At the end of the day, The Onyx Collection wants to be remembered as a team that lifts others up—clients and peers alike.

“We strive to be a positive force in the industry, leading with collaboration over competition and always choosing to work with people, not against them.”
