Integrity Settlement Services

Tina Newbury, Emilie Reha, and Max Newbury

Tina Newbury started her real estate career in 1991, working at Van Ginkel Law Firm in Atlantic, Iowa. One of the services JC Van Ginkel, an attorney, provided was Real Estate closings. Tina eventually started sitting in on those appointments and then began conducting those appointments herself.

"In 2003," says Tina, "I took a change of scenery and became a loan originator for GMAC Mortgage running both the Creston and Atlantic offices."

Two years later, she switched gears back to her legal roots and took the Senior Paralegal position with Hubbell Realty Company in West Des Moines where she worked for the next eight years. "I worked with land development, platting, insurance, and eventually added in Westown Settlement Services."

"In 2014, some of  my business colleagues encouraged me to go out on my own and open my own settlement company."

It took a giant leap of faith, but she started Integrity Settlement Services in the dining room of her home.  "All I had was one small printer, one computer monitor, and my real estate knowledge and experience!" she laughs.

Tina graduated from Dexfield High School in Redfield, Iowa. Her three children, Emilie, Nick, and Max were also raised in Southwest Iowa, graduating from Nodaway Valley High School. All three kids stayed in Iowa after college and are married and raising their families here, too.
The small-town experience and tight family would pay dividends later, as Max joined Tina shortly after she began Integrity Settlement Services. "I originally joined on a part-time basis," says Max. I would come by after my college classes and help with post-closing title work and scanning."

"The printer/scanner we had was so small, we had to split up closing packages into multiple scans," Tina adds.

In 2015, Emilie left teaching and joined the business while working at home with her two young boys, Maddox (10) and Huxley (8). "Before teaching, I had previously been an Assistant Sales Manager at Hubbell Homes," Emilie says. "So when I joined Mom, I picked up the Hubbell portfolio and also helped her with document preparation."

On November 3, 2016, Integrity signed their first lease on an official office building on NW 86th Street in Johnston, Iowa. "We were so excited to have offices and a conference room," Tina remembers. "But it was super scary taking on such a big obligation. We had to make the business run."

In early 2019, they created the Transaction Coordinator and Listing Closer Division to work with Real Estate agents in the Des Moines Metro.  "This division has grown from a couple of agents to three builders and over 35 agents from all brokerages," says Emilie. "We now work with agents in the Des Moines metro, Pella, and Algona."

Today, Integrity Settlement Services has a new, bigger office and six total employees. "Our 3 non-family member employees are a huge part of our team and are all connected to our family in one way or another," Tina says. "All three of them took a big risk when they left their previous employment to join our team, and we are so thankful and blessed to have them with us! We truly are a family business that value those we work with."

Integrity Settlement Services has over 65 years of combined experience in various aspects of real estate. They are an independent company, so they are able to work with a variety of lenders and real estate brokerages.

"We have a great connection with our local real estate attorney, Ross Barnett, who provides exceptional service to our office as a preferred partner."

"Our office motto has always been 'Remembering What’s Important,'" says Tina. "And that means the people: our loan officers, the buyers and sellers, our Real Estate agents and brokerages."

"Our goal is to join alongside our Realty partners, to support your growth and your brand," Tina continues. "We see our team as part of the whole Realty team and we customize our services to what your business needs when you need it."

"The overall experience customers receive with our office has a direct impact on Realtors' reviews and referrals, so we take great pride in these relationships."
