Reuben Borntreger

Diverse Solutions, LLC

Growing up on an Amish dairy farm in southwestern Wisconsin, Reuben Borntreger of Diverse Roofs had a solid work ethic in his DNA. After graduating from high school, he helped his father start a family business called Pleasant Hill Log Homes. They built beautiful log homes all across Wisconsin.

Reuben remembers, "By age seventeen, I was the foreman and running the business. By age eighteen, I was helping customers with the designing."

After twelve years, Reuben married and moved to Ohio. "I started my own business building houses and doing roofing for six years." He sold his business to his foreman and cousin to leave the Amish life. "I divorced and moved to Winterset Iowa in 2019 where most of my family lives."
There, he began his company Diverse Solutions LLC . "We built one house from start to finish," says Reuben. "But when 2020 hit with the instability in material costs we decided to focus on more on roofing and specialty projects."

He also began buying houses that needed a lot of renovation and flipping them.
In 2021 he moved to the private lake community of Diamondhead Lake, which is where he currently lives.

Reuben's company, Diverse Solutions LLC, specializes in all types of roofing: textured metal, asphalt shingles, and low-slope commercial roofs. They also do custom high-end specialty projects, composite decks, all types of siding, widows, egress windows, stone veneer, tile, and all types of flooring, drywall, kitchen cabinets, and complete home renovations.

The present high cost and availability of building materials have hit the industry hard. So Reuben and Diverse Solutions work hard to help their customers understand what's necessary for their project and make their customers happy by building relationships.

"The shortage of skilled labor has also made things difficult for many businesses. That's why we're thankful for our experienced and diverse crew that believes good help shouldn’t be taken for granted."

"It's important for area Realtors to know that if a seller has a roof inspection that came back bad, we can have the roof done before closing," says Reuben.  "And our goal is to be a reputable company that Realtors trust and recommend to their customers for future projects."
