Q.       How early did you know that you wanted to be a real estate agent?
A.       I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but I didn’t consider real estate until 2016. I started my career working with significant artists and sales in the NYC art world, and then I moved into the branding space at a boutique agency in Chicago. Real estate draws on every aspect of my background and feels like what I was always meant to do.

Q.       What college did you attend, and what did you study?
A.       I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in History from Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.

Q.       Have you discovered anything from that time that helps you in real estate?
A.       The same determination, passion and work ethic that led to my academic success has helped me succeed in real estate.

Q.       What are the positives/rewards of what you do?
A.       Being on this journey with people is endlessly rewarding. I love knowing that every day and every transaction will bring a new set of challenges.

Q.       What are the negatives / challenges of what you do?
A.       Striking a life/work balance. The schedule can be relentless!
Q.       What has contributed to your quicker success?
A.       I work hard and am willing to fail to succeed. I give 200%.

Q.       What are the game-changers in your life?
A.       The systems that I developed early on, which I can continue to lean into as my business increases.

Q.       How do you define success?
A.       For me, success is about fulfillment. My goal has always been to be constantly learning and growing. I know that I am on the right track if I wake up every day feeling excited to dive in.

Q.       What about your family life today?
A.       I have an 11-month-old, a 6 year old, and an 8 year old. Life feels blissfully chaotic right now. 2022 was my most successful year in real estate, but also my most challenging year personally. We welcomed a new baby in July, and two weeks later, my husband was diagnosed with cancer. Major life events help put things into perspective, but kids do too. I have 4 pretty strong “why’s!” My husband is doing great, by the way!

Q.       If you could go back and re-do anything in your life, what would it be and why
A.       Not a single thing!  I hope that I live my entire life so that when I look back at the end, I will feel the exact same way.

Q.       Anything else you want to say with this platform?
A.       Real estate has so many variables. When we look at “success,” what we are really seeing are the lag indicators. Focus on what you can control— the inputs—and have faith that the outputs will follow.
