WENDY KAPRELIAN

Always Finding a Way

Wendy's son, Vincenzo (24).

For Wendy Kaprelian, no two days have ever looked quite the same. Whether she was traveling the country as a flight attendant, building a real estate career during one of the industry’s most challenging periods, or helping families find a place to call home, she has embraced a career built on flexibility, adaptability, and connection.

Born and raised in the Racine, Wisconsin, area, Wendy’s professional journey has taken her far beyond her hometown. Before entering real estate, she spent many years working as a flight attendant for Midwest Airlines, a role that allowed her to travel extensively and experience life in different places, including Washington, D.C.

Her background in travel helped shape the way she approaches both life and business today.
“I love the flexible schedule and everyday being different,” Wendy shares.

That appreciation for variety eventually led her to real estate. In August 2007, Wendy launched her real estate career at a time when many people were leaving the industry rather than entering it.

“I started in real estate in August 2007. Yes, as it crashed!” she says.

Despite entering the profession during a turbulent market, Wendy built a successful career by focusing on perseverance and finding solutions. Nearly two decades later, she continues to serve clients through Shorewest Realtors, where she holds the title of Associate Vice President and maintains a broker license. She is also licensed in Florida and operates from an office in Marco Island.

For Wendy, real estate offered two things she valued most: flexibility and the opportunity to experience something new every day.

“I chose real estate because I love the flexibility and seeing all different types of homes,” she explains.

Today, Wendy works as an individual agent, a role that allows her to provide personalized service while maintaining the independence she enjoys. Throughout her career, she has developed a reputation for persistence and problem-solving.

“I have been told I always figure out a way to get things done,” she says.

That determination has become one of the defining characteristics of her business. Whether helping buyers navigate challenges or assisting sellers through complex transactions, Wendy approaches each situation with the belief that there is always a solution waiting to be found.

Among the many aspects of real estate she enjoys, one stands out above the rest: helping people achieve homeownership.

“The excitement of 1st time buyers when they get their 1st home,” Wendy says, is one of the most rewarding parts of her career.

She also finds fulfillment in helping clients realize that owning a home may be more attainable than they once believed.

“When people who think they could never afford a home find out how affordable it is and in most cases it is cheaper than the rent they are paying!” she says.

As she looks toward the future, Wendy remains focused on growth. Her goal is simple but meaningful: continue building on each year’s success while helping more people along the way.

“Continue to grow my business each year. Always doing better than the last year and helping more families,” she says.

Outside of work, family remains a central part of Wendy’s life. She is the proud mother of two children, Vincenzo, 24, and Stella, 22, both of whom work full-time as realtors alongside her. Real estate has truly become a family business, with both Vincenzo and Stella building their careers in the industry.

Wendy also shares her home with two French Bulldogs, Enzo and Guido, who are beloved members of the family.

When she isn’t working with clients, she enjoys many of the same activities that have long been part of her life: golfing, traveling, and trying new restaurants. Her love of travel, cultivated during her years as a flight attendant, continues to be one of her favorite ways to spend her free time.

She also believes in giving back through her brokerage’s involvement with Christmas 4 Kids, a charitable initiative supported by Shorewest Realtors.

For agents looking to build lasting careers, Wendy keeps her advice simple and personal.

“Hand written notes to clients past and present work,” she says.

In an increasingly digital world, it is a reminder that relationships still matter. For Wendy, success has always come down to staying connected, working hard, and finding a way to make things happen.
