Growing up in Eagle, Wisconsin, Kelly Trezek was surrounded by wide-open spaces, animals, and parents who believed it was important for their children to explore new hobbies and experiences. She was encouraged to pursue whatever she loved most, and trying new things was simply part of growing up. A true country kid, Kelly spent her childhood on a mini hobby farm where there were always animals around — from cows to guinea pigs and everything in between.

Her family — her parents, two sisters, and one brother — remains extremely close today. From an early age, Kelly learned the importance of hard work, dedication, and following her passions.

“My parents pushed us to do whatever we enjoyed,” Kelly shares. “I for most of my life showed horses competitively, and spent every waking moment out at the barn that was down the road from me.”

Those early experiences helped shape the person Kelly is today. Whether she was caring for animals, competing with horses, or spending time with others, she developed a natural ability to connect with people of all ages.

“I was and still am a social butterfly,” she says. “I have never met a stranger and enjoy talking to any person within earshot of myself.”

Before entering real estate, Kelly built a career as a registered dietitian specializing in oncology. Her professional background gave her experience helping people through stressful and emotional moments in their lives — something that continues to influence the way she approaches real estate today.

Kelly's transition into real estate came during a season of change. After taking time away from work to stay home with her first two boys, she and her husband, Ken, began talking about what returning to work might look like. Kelly wanted a career that would allow her to continue spending as much time as possible with her children while also doing meaningful work. As they talked, they realized how much they had enjoyed working with their own REALTOR®, who had become a close friend, and Ken suggested real estate could be the perfect fit.

“I wish it were more magical than, one night my husband and I were talking and he said, ‘You’d be really good at real estate,’” Kelly explains. “I never thought about it until about 24 hours later and said, ‘I think you’re right. I’m going to give it a try.’”

Kelly began her real estate career in 2023 with Shorewest Realtors, and the decision quickly proved to be the right one. Since starting, she has earned a place in the Million Dollar Club and reached Presidents Club in only her third year. She has also been nominated by peers every year for 5 Star Agent and was recognized as a Rising Star during her first year.

Today, Kelly is part of a five-woman team made up of individuals with different backgrounds and personalities. While each member brings something unique to the group, Kelly says their greatest strength comes from the support they provide one another.

“We are 5 women all with different backgrounds and personalities but we shine when we are together,” she says. “We support each other in all ways even when we are in the midst of chaos ourselves.”

That support became especially meaningful during Kelly's pregnancy and postpartum journey.

“I couldn't have sustained my business through my pregnancy and postpartum without all of these women,” Kelly says. “We show up for each other every single day.”

Outside of real estate, family remains at the center of Kelly's life. She and Ken have three young boys, Harvey, 5, George, 4, and Eddie, 8 months. Together, they enjoy life on their mini farm, where they care for chickens, goats, cats, and horses.

Kelly enjoys riding horses, running races, watching the boys ride their motorcycles, spending as much time outdoors as possible, and introducing her children to new experiences and the lessons that come from growing up around animals. Whether they're at their lake house up north or spending time with extended family, making memories together is what matters most.

Kelly's connection to family also guides the way she serves her clients. She believes that every recommendation should come from the same place she would use when making decisions for her own loved ones.

“I am family driven,” Kelly says. “If I wouldn't recommend it for my own family I wouldn't recommend it for you.”

For Kelly, the most rewarding part of real estate is helping people navigate every kind of move. Some transitions are exciting, some are emotional, and others come during life's most difficult seasons. Whatever the reason, she considers it a privilege to guide her clients through the process and help make the experience as smooth as possible.

“I've had clients making the happiest move of their lives, and others going through incredibly emotional transitions. No matter the reason, I feel honored to be there to help guide them through it.”

As she continues building her business, Kelly remains focused on growth while staying true to the values that shaped her. Her advice to other professionals is simple: know your limits and focus on what matters most.

“Only take on what you can, you don't HAVE to do it all. We can't be an expert everywhere,” she shares.

Kelly and Shorewest Realtors also give back through efforts including Christmas for Kids, multiple blood drives, and other community initiatives.

Through every chapter of her life, from competitive horseback riding to caring for her family and helping clients find their homes, Kelly continues to live by a phrase that has guided her journey.

“You can do hard things,” she says. “I live by that every day.”
