Marino Harris with Superior Closing Services

Marino Harris has built his title and closing company, Superior Closing Services, around one mission – making real estate agents' lives easier by providing the most streamlined and efficient closing process.

“Our whole team understands agents are our clients, so we are working to make sure their process is smooth. And that’s why we are constantly tweaking our process – to make it better for agents,” Marino explains.

Marino went on to explain how “making agents’ lives easier” all starts with the software his company uses. “Our software is the most advanced on the market,” he says. “It allows agents to easily communicate and track information in files. And it gives their clients a user-friendly platform to supply information.”

Having only one point of contact for agents is another way Superior Closing Services simplifies things. “Our process is set up with one contact for the file,” Marino emphasizes. “So once an agent knows who is working on their file, that is the only person they deal with. There is never confusion on who to call or email or ‘who does what’ in the company.”

While Marino puts a huge emphasis on serving agents, he said it really boils down to customer service in general, which means making sure everyone is happy. "As a company, we are not problem-focused, we are solution-oriented. We do certain things to make the lenders happy, another to make the agents happy, and yet others to make buyers and sellers happy. And that is our mission on every transaction. There are many moving parts and details that go on behind the scenes that we take care of as well, but our objective is to make the people involved happy,” he says.

“The agents and loan officers, and their teams, spend a lot of time getting everyone ready for closing. It is our job to put a big bow on the process and make sure everyone shows up and leaves with a smile,” Harris explains. “When everyone works together throughout the process, it ends with happy clients, and that’s the most fulfilling part of the job.”

Marino has worked in the title industry ever since he graduated from Duquesne University. Like many new graduates, he didn’t really know what he wanted to do after college. But he had a family member who owned a closing company that was looking for an employee. So, he decided to give it a shot and fell in love with the whole business.

Marino always looked up to entrepreneurs, and people who have built successful companies. It was his favorite subject to read about for years. He consumed everything he could about building businesses. It was only a matter of time before he started his own.

Now that he has his own closing company, Marino’s goal for Superior Closing Services is to create a place where people love to work and to continue growing. His wife, Catiana, runs the creative side of the business, like the website, social media, marketing, and promotions. Marino and Catiana have four kids, Penelope, Marino, Kidd, and Oscar. Marino’s favorite quote is “Positive vibes only,” and he pretty much lives his life that way.

“It doesn’t take much to get me going. I enjoy life in general, and work is just part of it. With four kids, that’s an easy starter to get you going as well.”
