Growing up in Savannah, Georgia and the surrounding areas, Ashley Carhuff has fond memoriesof her happy childhood. “My Mom was a teacher for most of my childhood and my Dad was a
worship pastor, who also became a teacher down the road,” she smiles. “I was a very social
butterfly because of our lifestyle growing up and my childhood was nothing short of
memorable alongside my three younger siblings.”
Ashley remembers being heavily involved in all of the activities and events at the school with
her mom, as well as growing up in the church. Her schedule was complete with Wednesday
church services, youth group, and Sunday services. As a result, she forged friends easily, made
people laugh, and honed her people skills.
“When I was younger, ironically, I wanted to be a teacher,” explains Ashley. She comes from a
family full of teachers, including her parents, grandparents, and her great grandmother. Ashley
went on to attend Georgia Southern for Early Childhood Education, but decided she wanted to
branch out and try something different.
Although Ashley did not become a teacher, she does use her love of teaching in her real estate
career. She comments, “I love teaching clients about what is going on in the market and what
the buying or selling process looks like. As our team’s agent mentor, I also teach newer agents
how to navigate their real estate careers and be successful when they onboard with Luxe!”
Road to Real Estate
“I started real estate at the end of 2019,” shares Ashley. “I was always interested in the housing
market, what the job of an agent looked like, and the beauty of houses.” When she went to
purchase her own house, she asked her real estate agent a lot of questions. Going through the
process herself was eye-opening. “I knew real estate would be the perfect job for me. I couldn’t
wait to help other families accomplish their dream of homeownership.”

She works for Luxe Real Estate Services and experienced the hot market during the height of
Covid-19. “I thought there were going to be many challenges, but our brokerage flourished,”
she says. “Not long after I joined Luxe, I found out I was pregnant with my son. I knew I was
ready to start a family, but with my career about to take off, I wasn’t sure how I was supposed
to juggle both.”

With her drive and determination, Ashley took the rest of 2020 to buckle down and excel in real
estate. Her son was born in December and the next year, she earned the Rookie of the Year
award from both her brokerage and the sales and marketing council in Savannah.
Real estate isn’t for the faint of heart. With long hours and hard work, it can be challenging.
Ashley comments, “It’s a whole lot of driving and a whole lot of caffeine. You may not work a 9-
5, but I quickly learned you’re working 24/7!”
Exceeding Customers’ Expectations
“Every client deserves a luxury customer service experience,” says Ashley. “Whether I am
working with a 2 million dollar client or I have a client looking to purchase a $20,000 piece of
land to build a house on one day, everyone deserves a luxury customer service experience.”
Delivering that kind of service and experience is also one of the main values at her brokerage.
“I put clients above myself,” she says. “I’m also everyone’s biggest cheerleader. Their goals are
my goals.” She shows her support to her clients by always giving them 110 percent.
Mentoring Others
Even though Ashley has only been in real estate for a little over 3 years, she uses her expertise
and experience to help others. She explains, “I currently have 11 agents under me who I have
onboarded with Team Luxe and currently mentor through their first 10 transactions. They come
to me with questions on how to guide them through the different transactions, including first-
time buyers, sellers, investors, and how to handle those processes.”
Ashley is now an Associate Broker with Team Luxe at Luxe Real Estate Services with 15 other
agents. She loves what she does and it shows with her enthusiasm and devotion to the
brokerage.
Loving Life
When not working, Ashley savors time with her son Jameson (2) and her family and friends. Shecomments, “I really enjoy spending time and hosting those who put a smile on my face, such as
my son, family and friends,” she says. Other pastimes include going to the gym, which she has
recently found a new love for.
Ashley also likes to go out to eat. She jokes, “I can also always go for cheese dip and a
margarita….it’s my form of self-care.” Shopping is another pastime of hers. She says, “If I walk
into TJ Maxx, there’s going to be one big hole in my pocket!”
A Grateful Heart
Looking back on her real estate career, Ashley couldn’t be happier about how her life has
evolved at only 24 years old. This Early Childhood Education major turned Mom and REALTOR®
has helped others achieve their real estate goals, which is priceless to this Rising Star! She is an
inspiration to others. Working through her pregnancy, putting clients first, and cheering others
onto success have served her well.
