Diane Nicholas

Murney Associates, Realtors

When you make your way through the world, there’s no replacement for having someone on your side who believes in you and wants the best for you.

That’s the dynamic that is exemplified with Diane Nicholas.

Leading by Example
As Broker Associate and Team Leader of Front-Door Realtors with Murney Associates, Diane has a knack and passion for elevating the path ahead for those around her.

“I’m lucky at Murney that I get to help teach about the process with new agents. I started a mentor group here seven years ago,” Diane says. “That has been very good for the agents and for me. Having a lot going keeps my head in the game.”

One of the most rewarding parts for Diane is the fact that most of her business is repeat or referral-based from past clients.

“I like the fact that I have that continuity with my clients,” Diane says.

“When I added people to my team, I wanted people who dealt with people with the same mindset, including my business partner, Rob Evans.”

Getting Her Start in the Business
Diane began her real estate adventure in 1995 and she has been in the Springfield market for around 25 years.

“When I came to Springfield, I came as a Managing Broker and Marketing Director for a company and did that for three years and then decided I wanted to sell. I quit my management job and I decided I could do real estate just fine,” Diane says.

“I paid my bills six months in advance and did open houses.”

Success in Action
Diane spared no time in establishing herself in the business. In fact, during her first six months in the business, she sold $2.5 million in sales volume. She finished with $5 million in sales volume at the end of her first year, with $10 million in sales volume in her second year.

As Diane admits, she is an outgoing person who loves interacting with people.

“I have a big personality. I’m not shy,” she smiles. “I don’t have a marketing degree, but a long history in company and personal marketing, and I wasn’t afraid to do what it took to put my name out in front of people.”

Dedicated Expertise
Those who have the opportunity to know and work with Diane appreciate the way she dedicates herself completely to each and every client that she guides through the process.

“I’m all about the client. That’s my goal. I love the one-on-one service aspect and not the pass-off. I don’t have a transaction coordinator. I do that myself,” Diane says.

“I meet all my partners’ clients, too. We always go to their listings, so they know my eyes are on it, too. I’m a stickler for that old-fashioned one-on-one service approach.”

Life’s Highlights
Away from work, Diane has a wide range of interests. One of the bright parts of life for her is time spent with her dog, Stella.

She also looks forward to time attending concerts, as well as traveling. Spending time with friends is a great source of enjoyment, as well.

When it comes to giving back, Diane is involved in supporting the needs of the community as a member of the Sunrise Rotary. There she is in charge of the Foundation.

“This is an amazing group of people, and I wish I would have joined years ago,” she emphasizes.

Another group that Diane says does great work is Rescue One, and the caring work they put into action for canines in the area.

Gratifying Contribution
In the process of making an impact, reaching goals and closing deals, one of the most gratifying aspects of work can be knowing that those you serve have a true level of appreciation for your efforts.

That’s a feeling that Diane is blessed to experience.

“It means a lot when I hear feedback that people feel that I’m fun and that I make the process as easy as possible for them,” she says. “That’s my goal. I always want to do whatever I can to keep things calm and to be an excellent communicator to find an answer.”

Congratulations to Diane Nicholas for the tireless and committed work she dedicates to her clients and community. In the process, she is truly elevating the path ahead for those around her.
