Each of us takes steps in life. Each of us has missteps along the way. That’s inevitable. The power lies in our ability to stand up, find a new path and keep moving forward for ourselves and those around us.

Brett Reinhart is one who is the epitome of that truth.

As a Real Estate Agent with Reinhart Realtors Powered by Murney and Associates, Brett has a knack for taking new steps forward in life and business … steps that leave an indelible, powerful mark.

“My love for this work comes down to me knowing 100% that I am one of the luckiest people in the world … to be able to wake up and do something I love every day,” Brett emphasizes.

“Being a man of God, I thank the Lord every day for my sobriety. That has led to a newfound sense of freedom and clarity … helping so many people get sober. I thank the Lord that he keeps me sober and I’m blessed with the job I have. Being able to do what you love every day is so rare.”

The Expected and Unexpected

Life’s steps happen in expected and unexpected ways.

“It’s very common to be a young man and trying to find your way … to figure out what to do with your life. In college, I didn’t know. Three years in, I knew college wasn’t going to be my thing,” Brett says. “My mom supported me in what I wanted to do. I started my own jet ski company at Lake of the Ozarks … I was also a guitarist and lead singer in a band. We played for about 10 years.”

Brett owned the jet ski business for four years. In time, he decided to make a change. That’s when one of his best friends asked if he would to real estate school with him and be his study buddy.

“He paid for my books. I passed the course, got my license, dove in and earned Rookie of the Year in 2006,” Brett says.

Defining His Own Genuine Path

Along the way, Brett learned to take his own path in his own way. When he first started in the business, he felt he needed to dress to impress.

“About five or six years in I started dressing the way I wanted. That’s what made me really successful. I believed in myself more,” he says. “I am very easygoing and have that confidence. I’m a happy person and love people. I’ve always been the leader of the pack. My whole approach and advice to others is being yourself. Everyone else is taken.”

As Brett can attest, it can be easy to lose track of yourself and feel like you’re playing a part to please others.

“You’ll see me in my loud, wild shorts, a t-shirt and a ball cap and tattoos. Looking back, it was funny to see the progression, and then I fell in love with this profession,” he smiles. “It led me to be who I am. People feel comfortable with me about how open I am about who I am.”

Signs of Success

Ever since beginning his journey in the business in 2005, Brett has continued taking important steps forward. In fact, he has consistently been among the top 1 to 5 percent of top-producing agents in the area.

One of the new and exciting steps Brett has taken is starting his own team in 2022. He’s proud to be joined on his team by Caleb Scott, who serves as Lead Agent; Russ Tidlund, who is a Buyer’s Agent; and Jill Corbin who is the Transaction Coordinator.

As Brett says, “I added Jill to what I did two years ago. She has been fantastic to work with and has changed the way I do business. I am forever grateful to her.”

Brett’s world is made much more rich by family, including his wife, Alison, and their two children— 2-year-old daughter, Rylie; and their 6-month-old daughter, Aubrie.

In his free time, Brett likes to play golf. He also still likes to play music and sing. In addition, he started Reinhart Renovations two years ago. Flipping houses is a favorite for him.

When it comes to giving back, Brett has a drive for helping others recover from alcohol addiction the way he did.

As he says, “That’s my passion … helping other people recover. I started my own 12-step program, and spend six to 10 hours a week helping others through meetings and mentoring.”

With his nurturing, caring and trustworthy approach to life and business, Brett’s impact on others is tangible. Every day, he’s helping others take their own positive steps forward.
