CAT JONES TWO MEN AND A TRUCK
MOVING LIVES FORWARD, BEYOND THE BOXES

For many, moving is synonymous with stress. It’s a life event often filled with anxiety, logistical nightmares, and the fear of precious belongings being damaged. But in St. Louis, Missouri, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, under the marketing direction of Cat Jones, is working to change that narrative. With a focus on care, professionalism, and community, Cat and her team are moving more than just furniture—they’re moving lives forward.
Cat Jones didn’t necessarily plan on a career in the moving industry. “It picked me!” she says with a laugh. A marketing and fashion merchandising major, Cat found her way to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, and it’s a decision she hasn’t regretted. “A moving company was never on my radar, but I would never go back, even if Vogue magazine called.”
Since 1994, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has become a staple in the St. Louis community, driven by the guiding principle: "the movers who care." This commitment is more than just a tagline; it's a fundamental aspect of their business philosophy. Rooted in the "Grandma Rule," they treat every customer with the same respect and consideration they would give their own grandmother.
This dedication to care translates into a rigorous employee selection and training process. "All of our employees are drug tested and background checked," Cat emphasizes. "Our movers are trained for a week in our 1,500-square-foot mock home." This hands-on, practical training ensures that movers are well-prepared, practicing with company furniture rather than the customer's.
Operating with a fleet of over 50 trucks and completing an average of 8,000 moves annually, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK handles a significant volume of business. However, Cat underscores that their focus remains on the individual customer. "This business is about moving furniture, but it is so much more than that, it is moving people forward in life," she says.
Cat's passion is evident in the company's commitment to employee development and community involvement. "We watch our employees start as movers and progress to drivers, supervisors, managers, and even franchisees," she shares. "Moving people forward through our charity moves is another opportunity to set someone on the path to a better life."
In a competitive market, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK distinguishes itself through experience, training, and transparent pricing. "Moving is one of the most stressful times in a person's life," Cat acknowledges. "Our many years of experience, training, top-of-the-line equipment, and transparent pricing are just a few of the things that set us apart from the competition. Do your research!"
They offer a wide range of services, including residential and business moves, storage, and junk removal, catering to diverse client needs. "We also have every license and all the insurance required to move legally in Missouri, Illinois, and nationwide," Cat adds.
Cat credits her team for their success. "We work as a team in our office. Everyone pitches in where needed. I will go out on the trucks to help pack, the owners will drive trucks if we are short-handed, or managers will fill in as movers," she says. She highlights Scott Smith, their Business Development Manager, who will be increasing their community presence.
For real estate agents, Cat believes TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is an invaluable resource. "TWO MEN AND A TRUCK is the best choice for agents to recommend to their clients." she asserts.
Outside of work, Cat enjoys spending time with her daughter, a sports management student at Miami University. "We love to travel, and Formula One races are at the top of our list," she shares.
Originally from Long Island, New York, but raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cat has made St. Louis her home for 20 years.
Cat's dedication to her work and community shines through.
