BRITAIN LENZ & DAVID SPECTER CHOICE HOME WARRANTY

The Partnership That Shows Up Big

In an industry where reliability is often promised but not always delivered, Britain Lenz and David Specter have built their business on one simple principle: show up and do the right thing.

For the past six years, Britain and David have worked side-by-side at Choice Home Warranty, carving out a reputation not just for fast service and competitive pricing, but for a kind of care that feels increasingly rare. “David and I care,” Britain says plainly. “And we do desire to have the best customer service for clients and realtors alike.”

Both are Account Executives—David, a senior rep with 14 years of experience, and Britain, a rising force in the space, balancing single motherhood with a production goal that’s her “biggest so far.” Their shared mission? Deliver concierge-level support, no matter what it takes.

"Help Me Help You"
David, born and raised in St. Louis, didn't set out to work in home warranty. After spending several years building a career in Austin, Texas, he found the industry by chance—and stayed by choice. “I loved it so much that after doing it for several years in Austin, I put in a transfer to come back home.”

That return was about more than work. It was about roots, family, and purpose. Today, he and his wife have four children, and balancing professional drive with being present at home is an ongoing effort. “Working on this!” he admits. “But I walk my kids to school EVERY DAY. Dinner with no phones or tech… being involved in my wife’s and kids’ lives. No one is going to remember how many warranties I sold when I pass away... but my family and friends will remember me as WHO I was.”

David’s message to agents is straightforward: “Help me help you! I have your back! Just need to know the situation and what’s going on.” He emphasizes that his role doesn’t end with the sale. “I'm here for your client before, during, and after escrow. This isn't just a ‘sale’ for me. It's about helping someone and actually making a difference in their life.”

"Show Up Big"
Britain, originally from a small town outside of Memphis, found her way into the home warranty industry after moving west to Wyoming. She later settled in St. Louis in a charming older home—one that, perhaps unknowingly, foreshadowed her future career in home protection.

Like David, her path to the profession wasn’t planned. “It found me!” she says. But once in, she leaned all the way in.

“I will outwork anyone in the room,” Britain says. “I’m a single solo mama. I like helping people save money and knowing that we can do the right thing.” Her clients, she says, get more than a rep. “I don’t wear just a salesperson hat—I want to be a partner and friend.”

Her approach is relationship-based and focused on giving agents the tools they need to stand out. “I want to provide concierge-type service so that clients have an exceptional experience,” she explains. “I’d hope agents would give me an opportunity because CHW has the best bang for their buck, and I’m here for education, support, and customer service.”

She sums up her business philosophy in three words: "Show up big." Whether it’s answering the phone, walking an agent through policy details, or supporting a client through a stressful claim, showing up is the foundation of everything she does.

The Bulldog and The Bridge-Builder
David describes himself as having a "bulldog mentality" when it comes to getting things done. “Once I am involved and contacted regardless of what it is, I get things done,” he says. His support system includes his manager Harold and a claims escalation contact named Kirsten. “I notify her of any issues and we figure out a solution to best help the homeowner.”

Meanwhile, Britain focuses on connection. “I try my best and want to meet people where they are,” she says. For her, success means more than numbers. “I love having some flexibility so I can take my kids to school and pick them up. I think that success is having the time to do things we love and with the people we love.”

Together, they form a rare pairing—equal parts heart and hustle.
