BRIAN TASH

Building a Legacy

Born and raised in the Creve Coeur area of St. Louis, Brian Tash grew up in a household that valued education, accountability, and personal growth. His parents encouraged him and his siblings to step outside their comfort zones, embrace challenges, and learn from failure—lessons that continue to shape both his life and career today.

"My parents were big on education but also taught us that it's ok to make mistakes, just learn from them," Brian shares. “They put us in situations where we had to learn to adapt and make the best out of situations, especially with people we had no relationship with.”

After attending the University of Denver for about a year and a half, Brian transferred to the University of Missouri. Around that time, he met the woman who would later become his wife, Cristina. As he looked toward the future, he knew he wanted a career that would challenge him and offer unlimited opportunity.

“I knew I wanted to do something very challenging and that forced me to grow but with endless possibilities,” he says.

Real estate quickly emerged as the answer.

Brian originally envisioned himself renovating homes, but he recognized that he first needed to build a financial foundation. He accepted a position as a sales and leasing agent with a small company in Chesterfield before launching his own business in 2007. During the housing market crash and the years that followed, he focused heavily on REO and bank-owned properties.

As the market evolved, so did Brian’s business. He eventually helped form The Agency, where he shifted his focus to traditional residential real estate, including single-family and multifamily homes.

More than two decades after first entering the industry in 2006, Brian remains motivated by the people he serves rather than accolades or awards.

“I do not run off of accolades,” he says. “I am motivated by the ability to get them what they want and for them to be happy.”

A Relationship-Driven Approach
Today, Brian serves as team lead of The Tash Agency. He is supported by a close-knit team that includes a licensed assistant, a showing assistant, and a part-time assistant who manages social media, client events, gifting, and CRM systems.

What separates Brian and his team from many others in the industry, he says, is their commitment to building genuine relationships.

“My team and I are very personal and go very deep,” Brian explains. “We are far from transactional and make sure our clients’ needs are forward-facing.”

That philosophy has helped him navigate a rapidly changing real estate market while continuing to deliver results for buyers and sellers alike. Brian enjoys helping clients work through challenges and finding creative solutions when obstacles arise.

“Helping people navigate through the process and the challenges this market throws at us daily” remains one of the most fulfilling parts of his career, he says. He also enjoys “challenging myself and my team to be better every day.”

As a lifelong St. Louis resident, Brian believes his local knowledge provides another advantage. Understanding neighborhoods, connecting people with trusted resources, and matching clients with the right properties have become cornerstones of his business.

Family First
While real estate plays a major role in Brian’s life, family remains at the center of everything he does.

Brian and Cristina have been together since meeting in college in 2003. They became engaged in 2006 and are now raising three children: Hunter, 14, Giuliana, 12, and Colton, 10. Their family also includes Axel, a German Shepherd mix.

When he is not working, Brian enjoys hosting gatherings, cooking, golfing, going to the gym, and cheering on his children at their sporting events.

He credits much of his personal growth to the lessons he has learned through mistakes, coaching, and family life.

“My kids are very motivating because it’s going to help shape the way they are when they become adults,” he says.

Looking ahead, Brian’s goals are both personal and professional. He strives to find the perfect work-life balance, acquire more investment property, and create a family legacy.

“To own more property but to also pay it forward; no one gets anywhere without help.  None of this was possible without the support from family, friends and clients.” he says.

That focus on people extends beyond his clients and family. Through client events and support for CARE STL, Brian and his team regularly give back to the community and help pets find loving homes.

His business tagline reflects the philosophy that guides everything he does:
“We measure our success by how we touch people’s lives.”

For Brian, that simple principle remains the true measure of success.
