“In 2012, I started the Kathy Congdon Homes SOLD Team,” she shares. “My team consists of nine members: myself and three other agents, a social media specialist, a technology specialist, an executive assistant, and two inside sales assistants to ensure that every transaction goes smoothly from contract to close.”
 
The Kathy Congdon Homes SOLD Team with Keller Williams Realty consists of individuals with extensive experience. “No one on my team has less than 18 years of experience,” says Kathy. The team's collective knowledge, skills, and dedication contribute to their ability to deliver exceptional results for their clients. She is thrilled that her daughter, Jessica Congdon Kucek, recently joined the team after working in Seattle for a top team as a REALTOR®.  As Kathy can attest, real estate runs in her daughter’s blood. She has the same drive and determination as her mother, and Kathy is excited to help her build her business.
 
Before joining Keller Williams Realty, Kathy worked as a solo agent, tirelessly serving her clients and never taking a day off. However, as her clientele continued to grow, Kathy recognized the need to expand and provide even better service. This led her to transition to the team concept, where each member of the Kathy Congdon Homes SOLD Team plays a vital role.
 
With a degree in marketing and advertising, Kathy brings a unique perspective to the real estate industry. Her background in marketing and advertising allows her to effectively promote her clients' properties and ensure maximum exposure in the market.
 
From Hobby to Career
 
Kathy started real estate two decades ago. “Real estate was my hobby,” she explains. She bought her first home in her 20s and sold it herself. “Everyone who came through the house wanted to work with me,” she recalls. “Many of them are my clients now. Some have been with me for 20 years. It was a lot of fun selling my own home, and I couldn’t wait to become a licensed real estate agent.”
 
In 2000, Kathy obtained her real estate license, and since then, she has never looked back. Initially, she worked at Coldwell Banker. “I attended Coldwell Banker University,” she comments. “I wanted to learn and grow.” She started real estate by earning the Rookie of the Year award and her sales continued to climb year after year.
 
Passionate about Her Profession
 
“I love what I do,” smiles Kathy. “I’m very passionate about what I do.”  She loves helping her clients navigate the complexities of the real estate process and serves as their advocate. Kathy always prioritizes her clients' best interests, ensuring that they find the right home, even if it means walking away from a deal that isn't the perfect fit. Her clients appreciate her dedication to their needs and trust that she will always put them first.
 
For Kathy, real estate is more than just a job—it's her true passion. She believes that when you love what you do, it never feels like work. She jokes, “If this becomes a job, I’m retiring.”
 
To keep her energized and enthusiastic about real estate, as a savvy individual, she continued to hire team members to best service her clients as her business continued to grow.
A Quest for Knowledge
 
To stay ahead in the ever-evolving real estate industry, Kathy believes in continuous learning. She says, “I’m a sponge when it comes to learning.” She remains open to new ideas and actively seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge. Kathy works with a real estate coach who helps her stay on top of industry trends and provides guidance on how to better serve her clients. She understands that knowledge is power.
 
“By hiring a coach, I’ve had the opportunity to take my business to the next level,” she says.
 
Outside Interests
 
Outside of her career, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, Brad, nicknamed the “numbers guru,” is also involved in the business and manages the technology aspect of their operations. Brad retired 5 years ago to help Kathy in real estate. He’s an asset to the business.
 
When they’re not working, they love to ride bikes. “He jumped in on the MS bike ride 4 years ago,” explains Kathy. Together, they ride to make a difference in the fight against MS. “We’re also big walkers,” adds Kathy. They also like traveling and visiting the beach for fun in the sun.
