Aleka DeGraaf is a determined mother and a dedicated business owner. Her path to owning 4th Dimension Property Management Services has been winding, but Aleka has refused to let anything stand in the way of her dreams. Her commitment, perseverance, and integrity have allowed her to overcome countless challenges, succeed in multiple industries, and now, create one of the Triad’s fastest-rising property management companies.

After several years working for other local property management companies, Aleka has stepped out on her own to launch 4th Dimension Property Management Services. She has taken the best tools, services, and approaches to property management and combined them to build a strong reputation for her work in the Triad. Now, she and her team look to build on their early success and become one of the area’s top property management providers.

Born and raised in a small town in Vermont, Aleka faced numerous challenges as she raised her four children independently. She spent ten years in corporate finance and accounting before returning to school to study cosmetology. Aleka managed salons for the next decade, allowing her the flexibility she needed to be a mother of four.

Aleka landed in North Carolina in 2013, where she continued managing salons. By 2017, however, her attention had turned toward another business entirely—real estate.

“I had always been fascinated with real estate,” Aleka explains.

Aleka was licensed in 2017 and sold real estate for the next three years.

“I started on the retail buy/sell side, [but] I was not excited by the its confines and desired to expand upon all of the skills that having a license would allow me to do,” Aleka offers.

Aleka’s role as a buy/sell real estate agent didn’t pan out, but her passion for real estate remained strong. So, in September 2020, she began working in property management.

Aleka began her property management career with zero doors. Within the first year, she grew her portfolio to over 100 doors managed. She hit 300 doors in her second year. Her rapid ascent allowed her to dig deeper into real estate, becoming an investor and learning the fundamentals of real estate from a new perspective.

Aleka went on to help another property management firm get their business off the ground. Then, on April 1, 2023, she officially founded her own venture, 4th Dimension Property Management Services.

The 4th Dimension

4th Dimension Property Management Services has quickly become a go-to resource for property management in the Triad. Aleka’s experience as an investor, real estate agent, and property manager allows her to understand the business from multiple angles and, thus, serve clients more effectively. Aleka also runs 4th Dimension Real Estate, a buy/sell real estate brokerage.

“We are great referral partners,” Aleka says proudly. “Licensed agents are one of my best referral partners because they are working with investors already. They can feel confident reaching out to me to manage their clients' properties. I’m collaborative. I don't have a scarcity mindset. There is so much business out in the market that it works best when we serve the investors the best way we can and work together for the growth of our community."

Aleka is proud of what she’s accomplished so far, but she’s not resting on her laurels. Instead, she intends to make 4th Dimension the top property management company in the Triad. Her abundance mentality and real estate experience will carry her to further success, allowing her to impact her community and the investors she works with for the better.

“I finally found my thing at 44. It's been a long path to get here, but I finally found it. And I want to do it for the rest of my life.”

Aleka’s four children, Dasan, Dakota, Daly, and Deacon, are now 21, 18, 16, and 14, respectively. As a family, they enjoy traveling—especially road trips. Dasan is also a licensed agent and property manager with 4th Dimension.
