Candice Alcott

Coldwell Banker Select®

“Don’t just call me a REALTOR®, because we all know it can’t be wrapped up that neatly,” said Candice Alcott.

A FAMILY BUSINESS
After earning her college degree in the medical field, Candice felt a strong pull toward real estate. Growing up, she watched as her grandmother relocated to different parts of the world and country with continued, outstanding success as a REALTOR®.

When she was 25 years old, her grandmother opened up a conversation about what it would be like if Candice were to help at her brokerage. “[My grandmother] had a reputable brokerage that she wanted me to follow suit in,” she remembers. After considering the proposal, Candice made the decision to dive right into the family business and see where the real estate industry would take her; she took her real estate courses and never looked back.

To this day, she is thankful for the guidance of her grandmother. “I have found that same successful determination and spirit in entrepreneurship as my Grammy had, and I’m so appreciative she saw that in me and encouraged me the way she did,” she said with admiration.

Candice has now been in real estate for 12 years, obtaining her broker’s license after four years. “With that, I ran the family boutique real estate company before merging with Coldwell Banker,” she said.

When it comes to managing her work and life balance, Candice believes that finding a rhythm is essential to her success as a professional, wife, and mom.

“In all honesty, my whole family is invested in real estate. My husband and I are property investors, and he has his home inspection license. He loves to see homes and properties just as much as my clients and I do,” she told us. “He also plans to get his real estate license in the future to join me in real estate, and my girls are mini realtors in the making. So the balance works out well for me because I have so much support in what I do and what real estate has provided and done for our family.”

MORE THAN JUST A REALTOR®
While Candice is proud to be a real estate agent and enjoys her professional life, she is also passionate about her roles as a mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, investor, servant, giver, and friend.

In addition to all of the roles she plays in the lives of her clients and loved ones, Candice is a loyal contributor to Tulsa Real Producers magazine, helping us get connected with a local charity each and every month. Her hard work and contribution allows us to consistently publish a Making a Difference article in our publication in order to spread awareness of local organizations in need of volunteers, supplies, and community support.

“I am passionate about helping people in ways that are needed,” she told us. “I love getting to know more about smaller nonprofits and connecting them with other amazing nonprofits to see the combined efforts grow our Tulsa care for one another.”

Her passion for people shines brightly in both her personal and professional life. When it comes to her clients, there is not much she won’t do to ensure their overall happiness when working with them. “I am passionate about finding out answers for my clients, researching possibilities of a property, whether that be splitting the property into tracks, building, investment property, or possibly just a remodel,” she told us.

“All of that also comes with the ability to gain trust with my clients as they share their goals, fears, dreams, and much more. I am not only hearing them but guiding them and, at the end of the day, I am passionate about doing just that.” As a family and community-focused person, Candice is able to connect with a large majority of her clients who share this trait. “They recognize that in me and trust me. I am that girl next door type that just really enjoys helping others, whether I am just offering a piece of advice or working as their agent. I will give my all no matter the outcome, and I believe that shows,” she said.

THE ROOT OF IT ALL
Candice’s passion for people, financial savviness, and incredible work ethic go all the way back to each of the people who played a major role in raising her – her parents and grandparents.

“My parents never went a day without trying to help someone. We often fed and housed those who were down on their luck, so I learned to kneel down, pick a person up, and to give what I had to give at an early age,” she reflected. “My grandparents taught me to never go without paying a debt, to be a woman of my word, to look everyone in the eyes, and to shake hands well.”

As she reflected on who contributed to who she is today, she is reminded of those who mean so much to her. “These people and lessons in my life led me to be the strong, trustworthy, and genuine person I am.” As a mother herself, she strives to instill these same values into her own children.

THE ALCOTTS
Candice is the wife of 12 years to Joseph Alcott, who is a Senior Master Sergeant serving in the United States Air Force for the last 20 years, in addition to his role as a part-time inspector for Forever Home Inspections–one of our very own Preferred Partners. Candice and Joseph are the proud parents of 8-year-old Madelynn, 4-year-old Katelynn, and are expecting baby number three in March 2022.

“My family has always come first, and I believe that is part of my success,” she told us.

As a family, the Alcotts enjoy anything outdoors. They also enjoy cooking and baking together. Their go-to homemade bread is cheesy-onion bread that they make with their home-grown rosemary. Outside of the time they spend at home or exploring the outdoors, the Alcotts enjoy attending their longtime church, Victory Church, where they appreciate all of the ways the church helps and reaches out to others near and far.
