Lacey Pool

An Honest Difference

There are bedrock qualities that just automatically become associated with certain people in life and business … like they represent each other and match perfectly.

With that in mind, it’s not uncommon to hear words like “integrity” spring forth from people when they talk about Lacey Pool.

As Broker and REALTOR® with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Penfed Realty, Lacey makes an honest difference for those around her.

“I always give people an honest answer,” Lacey emphasizes. “That’s the top priority for me and my agents. I put their needs above my own and I want them to know everything I do is for their betterment.”

Getting Her Start in the Business
Lacey’s real estate career got underway in December 2016.

As she thinks back, she says, “I went to college and got a business degree and had three kids under three. I had earned a teaching license. But I knew that wasn’t for me.”

She went on to work in finance for a time, as well.

“That didn’t do it for me either because you have the responsibility for the money but no control over how it’s spent,” she remembers.

Change of Plans
It was time for some serious consideration and crucial conversations.

“I called my dad and grandma. They are in the business, and I wanted to talk with them. I asked them to broker me,” Lacey remembers.

“My grandmother was going to retire. She came and brokered me and then we found a building. My dad turned it into real estate on one end and my mom’s hair salon on the other end. We opened January 1, 2017.”

Skyrocketing Start
Lacey went on to become the top agent that year in Arkansas City, KS. She continued with Homestead Realty for three years. During that time, they recorded 150 transactions yearly. In time, the decision was made to switch things up a bit.

“I talked with Patty about franchising with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Penfed Realty. I figured why reinvent the wheel. I have agents who work out of our office,” Lacey says.

“I didn’t do a team because I thrive on my own numbers and I wanted them to have that, too. I like them to have that motivation to challenge themselves with their own numbers.

Thriving Leadership
It’s an understatement to say that Lacey has thrived in the business. In fact, during her seven-year career, she has personally recorded more than 580 transactions.

In the process, she finished as the number four agent for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices nationwide in 2021, and number six in 2022.

Beyond the numbers and tangible signs of success lies Lacey’s true love for the work.

“It’s about helping people achieve their goals. They may have challenging items. I like problem-solving for them,” she points out.

Family Drive
Family drives Lacey’s work and achievements.

As she says, “They are the reason I do this. I was a single mom before I started.”

She cherishes time with her partner, Chris Johnson, and children — 18-year-old, Kamri; 15-year-old twins, Kyiah and Kadyn; and 8-year-old Kingston.

She also looks forward to moments spent with her parents, Holly and John Pool.

In her free time, Lacey has a love for renovating houses. She also enjoys time near the pool and soaking in family cookouts.

“One of our favorite things is hosting people at our place,” she says. “We really enjoy having people over and spending time with them.”

Moving Forward
Looking to the future, those who know Lacey Pool also know that they can expect her trademark sense of energy and spark to help those around her to continue on … as she looks forward to the chance to lead, mentor and guide the success of her team members and her clients.

In turn, it’s very easy to see that she makes an honest difference.
