If there is one thing Sandy Trockel wants you to understand, it is this: she is a badass. And every bit of that badassery was earned, not handed. Since the start of her real estate career three years ago, Trockel has built a thriving business from the ground up on the Kat Drerup Team at Real Broker. And with a heart full of grit and relentless determination, she carved out an enviable position as a top-producing realtor, racking up a staggering career volume of $20 million.

Born in New Jersey but bred in North Carolina, Sandy's spirited journey was significantly shaped by her saleswoman mother, who along with her father, instilled in her the value of hard work and tenacity. Their teachings birthed a fiery passion that led Sandy to pursue her dreams with unabated enthusiasm. 

College of Charleston served as the launching pad for Sandy's "BEST life". Despite an unconventional route involving graduating early and establishing residency in South Carolina, she managed to complete her studies in three years, all the while nurturing strong relationships and falling head-over-heels for Charleston. 

After college, Sandy found herself in a sales position at BoomTown, a local prop-tech company, before transitioning into real estate. This move was fuelled by two things: her passion for people and her innate desire to help as many people as possible. 

"I was blessed with the opportunity to turn my clients' dreams of homeownership into reality," she said. "Nothing fires me up more than when a client sees 'the one' for the first time, and I have the opportunity to make it their very own home."

Over the course of her career, Sandy has made her mark in the industry, winning prestigious awards such as the East Cooper Top Producer, Realtor of Distinction Team Award 2021, Top 500 Agents, and the Diamond Circle of Excellence in 2021 & 2022. Despite these accolades, it's the relationships she's built that Sandy cherishes the most. 

"I want to be remembered for my relationships with people," she said. "I love my people hard, and I am always willing to go the extra mile, no matter what. Whether it’s putting my client’s packages inside their houses while they’re out of town, to helping them move in, or introducing them to some of their best friends…I want to be remembered for the way I made them feel."

This unparalleled dedication has not only won her the respect and admiration of her clients but has also helped her conquer some formidable challenges. One such challenge was the radical shift from a 9-5 job to owning and operating her own business. Through perseverance and dedication, she was able to power through, showing up for her clients 110% each day.

Sandy's fierce loyalty, honesty, and tireless dedication are just some of the qualities that set her apart from her peers. "I am always on your side and your biggest advocate," she explains. "I celebrate BIG with my people, and we typically leave the transaction as friends, not clients."

While Sandy's success can be attributed to her uncanny ability to understand her client's needs and execute them, she is deeply passionate about the importance of education. "There is a big misconception in the market right now that anyone can be a realtor, and it starts with educating yourself so that you can educate your clients," she explains.

To all the up-and-coming top producers, Sandy has some sage advice: stay true to yourself, always be willing to learn and focus on cultivating relationships as opposed to selling someone a house. "This isn’t a sales job, this is a relationship-based career," she stresses.

In between her busy work schedule, Sandy loves spending quality time with her boyfriend Jeffrey Floyd, their dog Moesha Maria, and her family. She's also an avid cyclist at The Works Cycle, and loves exploring the food and happy hour scene in Charleston. She maintains her work-life balance by making time for the things and people that bring her joy and being present in those moments.
