Ashley and Joe Lowery
Real Estate with Intention
Ashley and Joe Lowery operate in a space most agents don’t. As the owners of Lowery Group Real Estate, the independent brokerage they launched in 2023, they don’t just represent buyers and sellers, they design, renovate, and resell luxury homes themselves, bringing a firsthand understanding of what actually drives value.
For them, real estate isn’t just transactional. It’s strategic. An approach they live out in their own business every day.
That mindset was built over time, starting with Ashley. She got her license in 2012 while still in college at Colorado State University. At one point, she thought she might become an attorney, but she found herself skipping class to work instead, earning commissions and gaining real-world experience while her peers followed more traditional paths.
Raised by entrepreneurial parents, she often worked in their construction and furniture store businesses from a young age. One of their investments, a neglected piece of land, that they transformed into a custom luxury home and destination property, became one of Ashley’s earliest full-circle moments when she sold it early in her career.
Around that same time, she and Joe were building their life together. Joe, who grew up in Castle Rock, was on a path rooted in service, eventually becoming a firefighter and paramedic.
“I’ve always been a helper,” he says. “That’s what led me into the fire service.”
While Joe worked long shifts at the station, and Ashley continued to build her business, they welcomed their daughters, Penelope and later, Mack; moments that reshaped everything for them.
“They became my ‘why’ behind everything I do,” she says.
For Joe, becoming a father brought a new perspective as well. His focus shifted toward the next chapter of building a life of happiness and fulfillment while raising their daughters to be “the next generation of strong and successful females.”
By 2023, that perspective, and the life they were building, led to a major decision. Joe stepped away from the fire service to join Ashley full-time as the Director of Operations for Lowery Group Real Estate and Project Manager for their luxury renovations and long-term investments. It was a leap forward, and almost immediately, it came with a test.
As they worked on their first flip, fraudulent contractors walked off the job leaving behind work that had to be redone almost entirely.
What felt like a setback became a turning point. They changed how they operated, learning how to better vet contractors, control materials, and negotiate deposits. Ultimately, tightening oversight and implementing more disciplined systems. Every step became more intentional. It made them better investors, and sharper advisors. Today, their business reflects that evolution.
Ashley leads the client side: advising, negotiating, and driving strategy. Her focus is not earning the next commission; it's helping clients make informed decisions that align with their personal and financial goals. “I’m not the Broker who tells a client to sell right away,” Ashley says. “If there’s a smarter way to hold onto the home, improve it, reposition it, or use it as a vehicle to build wealth, we look at that first. Purchasing a property undergoes the same scrutiny. We are your Advisor first, and your Broker second.”
As Director of Operations, Joe works to make sure every touchpoint reflects the level of service and intentionality the client expects. He also leads project management for their luxury renovation work, overseeing execution and ensuring no detail is overlooked.
Together, Ashley and Joe design all of their renovation projects; an aspect of the business that has become one of their strongest differentiators from other agents. With Ashley bringing a deep understanding of what translates in the market, Joe ensures the vision comes to life; prioritizing the balance between functionality, livability, and stunning finish selections that captivate Buyers.
And when it works, it shows. One of their recent luxury renovations in the Belcaro neighborhood received multiple offers in its first weekend on the market, closing above asking at $2.575 million.
But as much as the business has evolved, so has their definition of success. “Success is the freedom to choose how to spend your life. I want that for ourselves, and I want that for our clients,” Ashley says.
For them, that means sushi date nights at Matsuhisa in Cherry Creek, trying Johny Curiel’s newest restaurants, and catching comedy shows together. It means intentional time with their daughters, Penelope and Mack: whether that’s family game night at home or traveling to their next adventure. It also means supporting causes that are personal to them such as supporting firefighters and their families and children’s organizations.
Today, through Lowery Group Real Estate, Ashley and Joe continue to lean into the model they built, combining brokerage, investment, and design into one. Rooted in intention and the idea that real estate is about more than transactions; it’s about people, thoughtful decisions, and quality work that creates lasting value.
