ROBYN BRUNO & AMANDA SWIFT
Better Together
Amanda Swift
For Robyn Bruno, entrepreneurship dreams began as a child creating beaded Christmas ornaments sold in her parents’ trophy shop. For Amanda Swift, it was growing up surrounded by sugar cane fields, dreaming of antebellum architecture and vintage design.
Today, they are the BrunoSwift Real Estate Team at Mirambell Realty — a partnership that blends over 20 years of combined experience with two very different, but complementary, approaches to real estate.
“I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit,” Robyn says. “I grew up watching my parents run their own business. They were always present for my activities at school or coaching me and my siblings’ teams. So I knew working for myself was something I always wanted.”
Amanda shares a similar early influence. “My mom has a great sense of style and was constantly redecorating. I was always interested in homes or loved to see how people decorated,” she recalls. That love for design, combined with years of buying, renovating, and selling homes with her husband, led her to pursue her real estate license in 2019.
Two Paths, One Team
Robyn earned her degree in Communications from LSU and initially tried advertising. “While I liked it, I didn’t like being stuck in an office all day,” she says. In 2007, she got her real estate license — right as the market was crashing. She weathered the early years with side jobs, including selling ads for Gambit and waiting tables, before going full time in 2009. By 2015, she had her Associate Broker’s license.
Amanda’s background was in business development, first with the Shaw Group in Baton Rouge for a decade, then with a local engineering firm in New Orleans. “Instead of building a business for someone else, I decided to build a business for myself, while doing something that I love,” she says.
Their personal connection came first — through their sons’ friendship. Professionally, they discovered they shared the same drive and vision. Robyn recruited Amanda to Mirambell Realty, and three years later, in late 2023, they officially formed a team.
A Shared Philosophy
The duo believes most of the work is done before a “For Sale” sign goes in the yard. “We prioritize research and preparation to facilitate a smooth, timely sale,” Amanda says. “We take time to stage the property and make it look as appealing as it could to a new buyer.”
Robyn adds, “Running my business like a business makes me and my partner stand out.
Listening to our clients and providing frequent updates and open communication allows us to build trust”.

Their efforts pay off in client loyalty. “We are definitely ‘Better Together,’ and this has shown in the amount of returned clients and referrals we currently have,” Amanda says.
Community at the Core
Both women are deeply involved in giving back. Their team partners with the March of the Pigs Hogs for the Cause Team, which raised over $200,000 in 2024 to help families facing pediatric cancer. They support St. Pius School, serve in the St. Pius Woman’s Club, and participate in local organizations such as the Lake Vista Women’s Club, the Lake Vista Garden Club, and soon, the Junior League of New Orleans.
The Fulfillment Factor
For Robyn, the reward is “being a part of something really big in my client’s lives. Moving, buying, or selling is really stressful, so helping someone through that and accomplish that goal is amazing.”
Amanda finds joy in knowing “we successfully made another family’s dreams come true or helped them sell a property during challenging life situations. Each transaction is different, so you have to seamlessly switch gears. Robyn and I do this well together.”
Looking Ahead
For 2025, their focus is clear: growth. “We are focused on growing our business as a team and taking our marketing to the next level,” Robyn says. Amanda adds, “We constantly work towards streamlining our processes and how we can grow. Growth is an important focus, and we analyze how we can reach a larger scale of people and turn them into clients.”
Their advice for newcomers to the industry? “It is not an overnight success business,” Robyn says. “Have a six-month emergency fund. Be in it for the long game.” Amanda adds, “Find a mentor, focus on your strong qualities, and educate yourself. Remember, every agent started at year one.”
Through it all, one mantra guides them: Better Together. As Amanda puts it, “We collaborate with our clients and keep them as involved as they’d like to be. We understand and listen to their needs. We learn from each transaction and focus on how to create a smoother process.”
