Rachael Kansas holds that opportunity to serve very close to her heart, as well.

 

As a REALTOR® with RE/MAX N.O. Properties, Rachael cherishes being able to make those dream moments come true.

 

“First and foremost, I love getting to know families. It’s a special job we have.  We see the inner workings of relationships and assist people in making some of the most major financial decisions,” Rachael says. “It’s such a big moment. I’m honored to be part of those huge events in their lives.”

 

Before Rachael began her official career in real estate, she got an advance look at the industry through her parents.  

 

“I grew up in a real estate family. My mom was a school teacher and had her license on the side. Along with my dad, they invested in rental properties and grew a business in property management.”

 

As Rachael came of age, she finished her undergraduate degree then moved back to earn her MBA at Tulane. It wasn’t long before she earned her real estate license in the summer of 2010, as well, and started her journey in the business.

 

One of the elements of her work that Rachael appreciates is the way real estate brings her closer to the city she adores.

 

“I love the historic architecture and design we have here in New Orleans.” she says. “It’s a privilege to see the insides of some pretty amazing properties here.”  

 

 

Over the past dozen or so years that Rachael has been in the industry, she has steadily built on her reputation for getting things done with quality and the highest levels of service. In the process, her numbers definitely represent her engagement with the community. In fact, during 2022, she recorded over $36 million in sales volume, representing 47 transactions.

 

Beyond the numbers, Rachael has a much deeper definition of what it means to be successful.

 

“I think it’s all about relationships. I feel like I’m successful because of my deep-rooted relationships – both in the industry and simply around town,” Rachael says. 

 

“And I love being able to work with so many people throughout each transaction – including fellow agents, lenders, inspectors, title companies, plumbers, electricians and so on. We all work collaboratively together to reach a fair deal in the end.”

 

Those strong bonds haven’t sprung into existence by themselves. Those bridges are the result of steady care and nurturing through time.

 

“I put myself out there. I don’t think you can be shy in this business. Everyone I meet or know hears about my real estate work,” Rachael points out. “It’s all over my social media. Plus, I’m active in the greater community and have the opportunity to meet quite a few people through that, as well.”

 

Rachael’s family life is at the heart of her world. She treasures time with her husband, Jason Feder. As Rachael says, she and Jason are both from New Orleans and their families have known each other for decades.

 

Rachael and Jason have two children the cherish, as well—6-year-old Sylvia, and 1-year-old Olive.

 

“I’m very proud of my family and love the support of my husband,” she says. “He is a great sounding board. In fact, he used to be a licensed REALTOR®, as well.”

 

In her free time, Rachael and her family stay active with friends around town. Some of their favorite activities include time at the playground and swimming, as well as spending time at the soccer field. In addition, Rachael stays engaged as a member of the board at her synagogue. She is also involved with the Anti-Defamation League.

 

Rachael’s leadership in the industry is a direct result of the heightened level of service she provides. With her loyal and direct nature, she is very transparent with her clients, providing them with the benefit of her considerable expertise and experience.
