Living the Dream

“I’ve dreamt of being an agent my entire life,” Tina Pastran begins.

Since she can remember, Tina has had a love for houses and real estate. Some of her earliest memories involve visiting construction sites with her father, a part-time home builder, and looking at completed homes with her mother, who had an affinity for looking at houses. Tina’s love of real estate was born in her childhood years, but it didn’t end there — it simply went dormant.

As an adult, Tina’s life took shape in a way that, initially, didn’t include real estate. She became a devoted mother of three and, along the way, endured several challenges. One such roadblock was her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2011.

“I was very sick for a while,” Tina recalls. “Working with MS was a huge challenge, and it’s still something I work with.”

Still, Tina persevered. By 2019, her life had again undergone an upheaval, and she became a newly single mom. That’s when she revisited her real estate dream.

“I did not believe in myself. Getting out of that [mindset] helped me see what I was capable of,” Tina reflects.

Tina made a soft entrance into the real estate world. She began her career as an insurance agent, but after just nine months, she decided she was ready to take a leap of faith to become a REALTOR®.

“When I was an insurance agent, dreaming of real estate, I read, ‘If you don’t work to build your own dream, someone else will hire you to build theirs,’ and that was life-changing for me. That’s when I decided to take the leap into real estate,” Tina reflects. “I've already uprooted my entire life. What’s one more poke at the bear? I might as well jump.”

New Beginnings
Tina’s real estate business has taken flight. In 2021, her first full year in the business, she closed a staggering 37 deals for $7.8 million. Perhaps even more importantly, Tina is in love with her new line of work.

“I get to help people start new beginnings. Whether it’s a young student looking to pay less in a mortgage than a landlord would charge in rent or young newlyweds looking to buy their first home together, a family looking to grow, or even a couple ready to downsize, I get to be a part of that. I get to help them buy or sell their homes to start their new chapters. I’m honored and blessed to be in this business, and my clients mean the world to me.”

Tina is a caring, sentimental REALTOR®, but she also has a highly analytic part. She offers rational advice that’s rooted in statistics. She employs tools and strategies to ensure her clients get the most of their buying or selling experience.

The end result is not only professional success; Tina has already built countless new friendships.

“I’d like to be remembered as a person who is passionate, compassionate, and full of integrity. As someone who is as strong as she is kind and sees the world through a bright and colorful lens. As someone who is funny and optimistic, who is fiercely protective of what is important to her, and who is positive, creative, and hardworking.”

Family First
Tina’s life has long been centered around family. Her three children, Forest, Noah, and Gracely, are now 13, 11, and 8, respectively. They enjoy movie nights, family dinners, and travel.

As Tina reflects on her journey, she rests in a state of gratitude. She’s most grateful for her children. As she says, “they are the driving force behind what I do.” She also expresses distinct gratitude for her professional path.

“I’m so grateful to be in a career that I love. I wake up every day excited about work,” Tina beams. “I'm tailor-made for this job. I don't think I could be in a profession that was more perfect for me.”
