"I knew I had a knack for creating beautiful spaces, and I wanted to further explore and expand on this hidden talent," she emphasizes.

"A builder reached out to me on Instagram, despite my lack of a portfolio at the time. He trusted me and was captivated by my work," she recalls. This leap of faith marked the beginning of a remarkable journey, as Alexa's work soon gained traction, captivating audiences on social media platforms. "My pictures went viral, and before I knew it, realtors from all corners were seeking my expertise," she recounts, underscoring the transformative power of social media.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, Alexa ventured into two distinct yet complementary businesses in the real estate industry. The first, Staged, focuses on the meticulous staging and styling of homes. Her innate eye for detail and penchant for creating captivating atmospheres have made Staged a preferred choice for homeowners and trade professionals alike. "I take pride in the finishing touches - from venetian plaster to smart lighting control systems - that elevate every space I work on," Alexa remarks.

Complementing her staging business is SDI, a venture dedicated to smart home automation, specializing in lighting, shades, and home technology. With locations in Boston and West Palm Beach, SDI has emerged as a leading provider of cutting-edge solutions for luxury homeowners. "We curate the ideal atmosphere with dynamic shading and lighting control, ensuring both performance and longevity," Alexa explains, highlighting SDI's commitment to excellence in home automation.

With a growing demand for her services, Alexa's business expanded beyond staging homes to encompass a diverse portfolio of projects. "I now design themed vacation properties in South Florida, outfitting them with everything from wallpaper to furniture and accessories," she explains. Her keen eye for detail and ability to breathe life into empty spaces have earned her acclaim in revamping lackluster environments, infusing them with longevity and character. Moreover, Alexa offers in-home consultations, empowering homeowners and realtors to maximize the value of their properties with strategic enhancements.

Undoubtedly, one of Alexa's most notable achievements is the establishment of her business in Boston, which has garnered significant recognition in the industry. "My firm has been honored with over five Best of Boston Awards and Best in Design Awards in Home Technology," she proudly reveals. 

Despite her remarkable success, Alexa remains grounded, attributing her achievements to her years of immersion in the construction and design industry. "I've been a student of the trade, observing builders and interior designers, honing my skills from the ground up," she shares. 

However, like any entrepreneurial journey, Alexa's path has not been without its challenges. "Starting a new business in a new state was incredibly daunting," she acknowledges. Yet, through perseverance and a proactive approach to networking, Alexa overcame these obstacles, forging invaluable connections within the industry. "I've met some of the most supportive individuals who have been instrumental in my journey," she adds, underscoring the power of community and collaboration.

What drives Alexa's relentless pursuit of excellence? "I draw inspiration from beautiful spaces - hotels, venues, restaurants - each reflecting a unique design ethos and purpose," she reveals. "My three children, our health, and our two dogs are what I value the most," she affirms. "In five to ten years, I aspire to maintain good health and continue traveling to draw inspiration for future design endeavors," she shares.
