Beyond the Closing Table

For Stacy Deutschmann, a career in real estate was never part of some carefully constructed master plan. Instead, it began with an opportunity — one that arrived at just the right moment and ultimately became a career spanning more than 25 years.

A lifelong St. Louisan, Stacy was born and raised in the area and grew up in Oakville, Missouri, alongside her brother. Family was always an important part of her life, and the lessons she learned growing up have remained with her throughout her career.

“Growing up in St. Louis taught me the value of hard work, loyalty, and the importance of community,” Stacy says. “I wasn't handed a roadmap to success, but I learned early on that if you work hard, treat people well, and stay committed to your goals, opportunities will follow.”

Those principles became the foundation for a professional journey that began long before she earned her real estate license.

Finding Her Calling
Early in her career, Stacy worked as an administrative assistant and secretary. The positions taught her the importance of organization, communication, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service — skills that would eventually become invaluable in real estate.

Then came an opportunity to work part-time for a local home builder.

“I loved seeing homes come together from the ground up and helping people find a place to call home,” she recalls.

What began as a part-time position quickly sparked a genuine passion for the industry. Stacy went on to work with three different builders, developing extensive knowledge of new construction and the home-building process before earning her real estate license in 2001.

Today, new construction remains one of her favorite aspects of the business.

“I love helping buyers understand the building process, navigate their options, and create a home that truly fits their lifestyle,” she says.

A Career Built on Trust
Now with Coldwell Banker Premier Group, Stacy has built a business recognized for experience, consistency, and personal service. She is regularly recognized as a Top Producer within her company and most recently was honored as the #1 individual agent in her office based on sales volume for the year. She has also been named one of the Top 100 Realtors in the St. Louis area through STL Real Producers.

Yet the numbers tell only part of the story.

For Stacy, the true measure of success is the relationships she develops along the way. Her business is built almost entirely on referrals and repeat clients, a reflection of the trust she has earned throughout the years.

“My business is built almost entirely on referrals and repeat clients, which I believe speaks to the trust I've earned over the years,” she says.

That philosophy extends to the way she works. Stacy chooses to remain a single agent, supported by a transaction coordinator, allowing her to maintain a hands-on approach throughout every transaction.

“I’m a little OCD and have a hard time letting go of the reins of my business,” she admits.

Her clients benefit from that attention to detail, whether they are purchasing their first home, building a new construction property, buying luxury real estate, or navigating a significant transition.

“I strive to make every client feel like they're my only client,” Stacy says.

Beyond the Transaction
After 25 years in real estate, Stacy has learned that the business demands more than market knowledge. It requires resilience, patience, adaptability, and the ability to remain focused when circumstances become unpredictable.

“The biggest challenge has been learning to balance the demands of a career that never really turns off,” she says.

Her response has been to focus on solutions rather than problems and to approach challenges with a positive attitude. Those lessons have shaped not only the Realtor she is today, but also the wife, mother, friend, and business owner she has become.

Away from work, Stacy enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, creating social media content, supporting animal rescue efforts, and connecting with her community. She is wife to Tim Deutschmann and mom to three grown children, Madison, Parker, and Mackenzie. Her family also includes Murphy and Rosie, her two Goldendoodles, and Rio, a Portuguese Waterdog Poodle Mix who became a “foster fail.”

Looking toward the future, Stacy hopes to continue growing her business through referrals and repeat clients while maintaining the level of service her clients have come to expect. Just as importantly, she wants to make time for family, create memories, and find balance.

After more than two decades in an industry she never expected to call her own, Stacy’s philosophy remains remarkably simple.

“Focus on relationships, not transactions,” she advises. “Build your business on trust, not shortcuts. Most importantly, be yourself.”

It is a philosophy perfectly captured by the tagline that has come to define her business:
“Building relationships beyond the closing table.”

For Stacy, those relationships are the lasting legacy of a career she continues to love.
