Yuliana Mota-Flores

Guiding Others Along the Path

Growing up in Guanajuato, a small city in central Mexico, Yuliana Mota-Flores could never have imagined the success she enjoys today. Yuliana was raised in a country where resources and opportunities were limited. But despite their limitations, Yuliana’s parents taught her sound ethics: humility, integrity, and traditional Mexican values stood at the forefront of her formative years.

At seven years old, Yuliana moved to Greensboro with her family. It was an exciting time marked by new beginnings, but the transition wasn’t easy. She didn’t speak English, didn’t understand American culture, and struggled to fit in. She remembers feeling like an outcast.

As the years passed, Yuliana settled into American culture. She began making friends, learning the customs, and finding her way naturally. She went on to earn a degree in business from GTCC and landed a job as a leasing agent post-graduation.

With this, Yuliana found success, but she also recognized the limitations of her role. So, she eventually decided to take a leap of faith and become a REALTOR® in 2017. The opportunity to help her community while bettering her own life offered promise and possibility.

Finding her Groove
Yuliana worked in real estate part-time for two years before becoming a full-time agent. Since going full-time, her business has experienced strong growth. 90% of her clients are Spanish-speaking, giving her a chance to help many individuals and families from similar backgrounds.

Now with eXp Realty, Yuliana has developed a reputation for being a caring and communicative REALTOR®. She enjoys working with first-time homebuyers and investors, and more recently, she’s entered the new construction and land sectors. Yuliana closed 38 homes and vacant lots for $5.2 million in 2021 and 37 homes and vacant lots for $5.65 million in 2022.

“People like working with me because when I talk to them, I treat them like friends. It's always fun to talk to my clients, see my clients, and show them property or hear more about their home. If we have an issue, I care about their best interests. I’m always there,” she says.

Giving Thanks
Outside work, Yuliana enjoys exercising at OrangeTheory and spending time with her family, friends, boyfriend, Ruben, and dog, Rocky. While Yuliana enjoys being a solo agent, her boyfriend was recently licensed, and she would love to work alongside him one day.

“A goal I see for my future would be to have my business grow to a level where I can open my own office. I would like to have a business partner that can work with me to create a business that focuses on putting the clients’ needs first, helping as many people as possible with their real estate goals, and creating a better community through the power of homeownership.”

As Yuliana reflects on her journey, gratitude rises to the surface. Coming from Mexico, where her family had so little, she never imagined the success she’s experiencing today. Now, she has the blessed opportunity to guide those traveling a similar path to homeownership and generational wealth.

“I never thought I could make a living doing something I actually like. I always thought I would do what made my parents happy and proud, but doing something outside that has brought me so much success and independence. I think that doing what you want to do, doing what you love, makes everything else fall into place,” Yuliana reflects. “Always have faith in what you see for yourself, even when the people closest to you can’t see it yet."

Testimonial
“I met Yuliana a few years ago and was so impressed with her work ethic and calming demeanor. Having always strived to make myself better every day, I recognized the same attitude in Yuliana. When I left the company that we were both with to venture out on my own, I could not stop thinking of her and felt that extraordinary talents like hers needed the correct atmosphere to soar even higher. I am happy to say that we are now working with the same company again, and I could not be happier to see Yuliana's success every day. She is a true superstar in my book, and I will not be surprised to see her get to the top of whatever she wants.”
